Tiffany Amber was launched in 1998 by its current Creative Director, Folake Folarin-Coker. The show, which was tagged Sirens of the Nile was attended by Keisha Buchanan, Liz Yemoja, and Ngozi Pere-Okotie amongst others.

Consistent with her classy and understated style, Genevieve attended the event in a Halston jumpsuit and Christiane Loboutin shoes. The show, which took place on Saturday, September 14, was sponsored by GTBank, and also supported by Arik Air. Enjoy pictures of Genevieve from the event.

JOKE OF THE DAY

A mother was working in the kitchen, listening to her seven-year-old son playing with his new electric train in the living room.
She heard the train stop & her son saying:

"All of you bastards who want off, get the hell off now, 'cause this is the last stop! And all of you bastards ... who are getting on, get your ass in the train, cause we're going down the tracks."

The horrified mother went in & told her son: "We don't use that kind of language in this house. Now I want you to go to your room & stay there for TWO HOURS. When you come out, you may play with your train, but I want you to use nice language."

Two hours later, the son came out of the bedroom & resumed playing with his train. Soon the train stopped & the mother heard her son say:

She hears the little boy continue: "For those of you just boarding, we ask you to stow all of your hand luggage under your seat. Remember, there is no smoking on the train. We hope you will have a pleasant and relaxing journey with us today."
As the mother began to smile, the child added: "For those of you who are pissed off about the TWO HOUR delay, please see the bitch in the kitchen.

Ama Annan, the first daughter of former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, will be getting married this week in Ghana. The 42 year old Financial Analyst and business woman is set to wed Adepoju Adedeji in a 3-day event that will start on Thursday 29th of Sept till Saturday 1st of October. 40 year old Poju is a divorcee with three kids and the son of Professor Adebayo Adedeji, the Executive Director of the African Center for Development & Strategic Studies (ACDESS).

Ama's mum is Titilola Alakija, Kofi Annan's first wife. The two divorced in the 80's.

Man beats wife to a pulp; claims she came at him with a knife

Her name is Eunice Becker Okwueto, a mother of two, and her husband Emmanuel Okwueto beat her so bad she sustained severe injuries to the head, lacerations, and a dislocated jaw. She is currently undergoing treatment. The husband claims she came at him with a hammer and knife and he also has a broken arm, cuts and bruises which he received from her on the day of the fight.

What's going on in this country? Why do some men think they can violate women at will? Why are they so confident to not only commit the crime, but also film it? Is this now the norm, should we get used to it? How can these acts of violence against women happen in our schools, our society and nothing is done about it?

In this 13mins video, three girls are dehumanized and tortured by guys because the guys allegedly heard them having lesbian sex. The boys not only made the girls touch, kiss and literarily have oral sex with each other, they also laid them on the floor and flogged them like animals.

My heart bleeds that these things are happening to our young women and not much is done about it. This has got to stop.

High-heels for little children. Is it OK

Parenting groups have criticized top retailers for selling high-heeled shoes for girls as young as three, claiming they encourage the sexualisation of children.

Rita O'Reilly, of Parentline.com said: 'Parents need to say No. A child should be dressed as a child.

'Parents are dressing their children as adults if they are putting them in high heels. I wouldn't consider it appropriate. We all wore our mother's heels which is fine.

'Putting children in adult clothing can sexualise them and make them grow up before their time. Also if you put a young child in heels then they are not able to swing on swings and skip, and other things children naturally do.'

Walk Against Rape/Violence Against Women

On Wednesday, October 5, 2011, Enough is Enough Nigeria, Project Alert, Rubies Ink, Delta Women, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) along with several other civil society organizations and individuals will walk in several cities around Nigeria to raise awareness about violence against women in Nigeria, and in particular, demand action on the gang-rape of a young lady by five young men alleged to be students of Abia State University (ABSU).

The walk will take place in the following cities:
Abia: Walk will commence at the Okpara square in Umuahia, Abia state and conclude at the state house.
Lagos: Protest will hold at the Abia State Liaison Office in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Abuja : Protesters will converge at The Eagle Square

Corper attacked with acid, ex-boyfriend attacker still roaming free!

Her name is Onyinye Blessing Agu and in February this year, an ex-boyfriend poured acid on her for ending their relationship two months earlier.

Onyinye was a corper, serving in Badagry West LCDA in Lagos State when the unfortunate incident happened to her.

The victim  became a born again christian, decided to live a new life and didn't think being in a relationship was appropriate, so she ended the relationship she was in with Ifeanyi Collins Ude in December 2010. Two months later, Ifeanyi, who's based in Enugu came to Lagos to visit Onyinye, with evil intentions.

As Onyinye was seeing off her once abusive boyfriend, Ifeanyi brought out a container from the plastic bag he was carrying, poured acid on Onyinye, and ran off.

Another death in Nollywood. Top writer and producer, Donald Okoli has passed away. The producer, who was in his forties, died this morning...in his sleep.

Before his death, he'd produced several movies, including "Family Battle" which won an AMAA Award. May his soul rest in peace...amen!

A few months ago someone I know also died in his sleep. He was 41. How do you die in your sleep? Can anyone explain what causes death while sleeping?

ROBBERS INVADED BOWEN UNIVERSITY

Students of Bowen University today scampered for safety as armed robbers invaded the premises of the private university located in Osun State. The robbers succeeded in robbing one of the banks inside the school premises. There are two banks in the school - Sterling Bank and Skye Bank.

No student, teaching or non-teaching staff was seriously injured, but heard one of the guards at the bank was shot dead. The armed bandits escaped after the robbery!
