ARTICLE: LOVE LETTER TO VECTOR BY WALE APPLAUSE

I know I risk a 14 year jail term with this title, but being in a different
time zone for the weekend, therefore I decided to do this from my very
short stay here.
Before I continue, I must say this to you, Vector a.k.a Lanre, 104 years
ago, I wasn’t just indifferent about you, I did not like you, and I guess
you care less.
I write you this letter to tell you about my experience with your album,
THE SECOND COMING. I always had this album of yours from weeks after
release, but sadly I never ever listened to it cos I did not believe in it
or like you either.
But days ago…
There was a fierce argument in my friends Caravan about your song, self and
career with a lot of ado, I forcefully decided to listen to your album.
The core objective of it was to have nails to crucify you and I needed you
to carry your cross to Golgotha, I know you’ll understand that, you a smart
gee.
I also needed to check out the love my friends and colleague have for you
if it was sincere or just the band wagon effect. Here is my big mistake,
guess what? I eventually listened.
To get irritated by your album, I decided to listen from the rear, having
though that you’ll place a couple wacky tracks at the posterior, unknown to
me, I shot myself in the leg.
The first track I listened to on your album was the OUTRO, WA SERE. I read
another version of your bible. It gave another dimension to you. I listened
all through the track and I thought I should move on, it could be a fluke.
RORA with shank was a sold out. TatatataTYrone killed it with the drums.
This song hit me so hard. I felt your dynamism. The 38 seconds SKIT on
track 20 is actually better than a popular artiste’s  album with a lot of
babanas. I found myself listening to the beautiful accapella a couple times
before I moved on to Angeli which I quickly used the remote on cos it was
an anthem at a time and even though you are  my new found music love, I
will always despise the video.
AMEN with Jazzy got to me and I decided to listen to the album from1972.
Vector, I gotta hand this to you, album is a deep work of art, THE SECOND
COMING tags you as INTELLIGENT. You got the right people to handle the
Hooke like Robert. THINK IT!
I give it to you that you are a big project in progress. Beats by producers
TatataTYrone, Mr Smith, Da piano and a couple others coupled with hooks and
verses by Sound Sultan, Rock Steady. Emmasong, Jazzy, Muno makes the album
a balanced diet.
The cypher with Mode 9 is incredible. Although your album did not hit
commercial success similar to The Year of RnB album by Capital Femi and the
Karpenter’s Son album project, it’s an incredible work of art and I will be
proud to tell my grandchildren that I lived in the days of Mode9, Vector,
Messi and Ronaldo.

Ladies, watch your man: 4 signs he’s a chronic womanizer

The womanizer has plenty of female acquaintances because he’s hoping to have sex with all of them.

1. HE PROMISES TOO MUCH, TOO SOON.

You just met him, and he’s already talking about the future. The womaniser isn't afraid to promise you the world because he won’t stick around long enough to make good on any of the promises. If he’s promising too much, too soon, be wary: He may just be telling you what you want to hear.

2. HE NEVER CALLS YOU BY NAME.

He calls you sweetie, honey, babe and more. At first, it’s cute, but then you realize that he rarely or never calls you by your actual name. It’s by design: If the womaniser never says your name, then he doesn't risk mixing it up with the name of another girl.

3. HE DOESN'T HAVE A CLOSE FEMALE FRIEND.

He has a lot of female acquaintances. He has more female Facebook friends than male. He gets a lot of text messages from girls… but he can’t name one close female friend. The womaniser has plenty of female acquaintances because he’s hoping to have sex with all of them.

4. HE’S TOO COMPLIMENTARY.

We all love to hear compliments — but we generally know when compliments have motives behind them. If he’s overly complimentary, the womaniser is trying to get you into bed.

7 interesting facts about yourself you did NOT know

Have you ever wondered why cliques are so strong and close together, even if some of the members don’t like each other?
You know your favourite colour, your birthday, and what foods you prefer, but wouldn't it be interesting to learn psychological facts about yourself and how your mind works? Well you’re in luck! It’s always fun to learn new things, and this article will teach you 7 psychological facts about yourself that you probably didn't already know! Keep reading to find out!

1. YOU CAN’T MULTITASK

This is one of the psychological facts about yourself mentioned in a few previous articles. Many people believe they can do more than one thing at a time, but studies show that the mind can only attend to one task at a time, with the exception of a few physical tasks such as walking. You may be able to shift from one task to another very quickly, but it’s impossible to focus on more than one task at a time.

2. YOU DON’T LIKE READING TEXT ONLINE

It’s true. You’re reading this article right now, but you’d prefer reading it on paper. Text on screen is hard on the eyes and tires them very quickly. Unless the information is interesting or in an easy to read font, your eyes and brain lose focus very quickly and you’re more likely to skip over the text.

3. WHEN YOU READ YOU ANTICIPATE

Are there ever times when you read aloud and you end up saying a word that isn't there? It’s because you anticipate the upcoming letters and say them before you actually see them. For example, you’d probably read and say, “The little children play outside,” but the actual text would say, “The little children played out and about.” When our minds put words together such as “children play outside,” we anticipate it, it’s not until after we actually read it that we realize it says something other than what we’re used to such as, “children play out and about.” Try reading this: I pledge allegiance to the flag to the United States of Amsterdam. Many of you caught it, but some of you said “America” because that’s what your mind expected to see. Cool, isn't it?

4. SYNCHRONOUS ACTIVITY BONDS YOUR GROUP

Did you know that doing things together bonds your group together? Have you ever wondered why cliques are so strong and close together, even if some of the members don’t like each other? It’s because they sit together, eat together, laugh together, and move together in time! Research shows that when people do things at the same time, they are more socially attached, more likely to make personal sacrifices for that group, and desire to be around members of that group.

5. YOU PERFORM WORSE UNDER TOO MUCH STRESS

This is a psychological fact you should keep in mind! If you’re under tons of stress, your brain does not perform optimally. You actually perform worse! That’s why it’s so important to take a day off before a big test! Give yourself a break for the good of your health and your work.

6. YOU’RE MORE LIKELY TO BLAME PEOPLE RATHER THAN THE SITUATION

Did you know that when undesirable events happen, humans are more likely to blame another person rather than the circumstance? If you’re late for a meeting, you’re more likely to blame the driver rather than the construction on the way. Because the mind works this way, it’s important to remember it, and take into account when you encounter these situations

7. THE ILLUSION OF PROGRESS IS MOTIVATING

Lastly, the illusion of progress is extremely motivating! According to research, if you believe that you’re progressing toward a goal, you move faster toward achieving that goal. Example 1: You go to IHOP and you’re given a card with 10 empty boxes representing how many times you've visited. On the 10th visit you get a free meal. Example 2: You’re given a card with 12 boxes and 2 already marked. Studies show that even though you need to visit 10 times with either card, people are more likely to complete the card with the 12 boxes faster, because of the illusion of progression. Now that you know this, you could make up some strategies that’ll help motivate you and push you toward productivity!

Davido, Ice Prince for Kenyan Boombata

I'm not even sure what Boombata means, but I'm told it’s something like "welcome to a celebration".

Next month, in the same vein, Nairobi will be welcoming Nigerian stars Davido and Ice Prince for the inaugural Boombata Festival, organized by Chocolate City Kenya and Adrenalive.

It will be Davido’s first visit to a Kenyan stage, while Ice Prince will be making a come-back.
It is thought that Davido will be coming into Kenya fresh from a performance in Uganda, but that is yet to be confirmed. Ice Prince on the other hand will have just wound up a tour of North America, which will take him through Houston, Dallas, LA, Atlanta and Toronto among several other cities.
Boombata is a series of festivals in Kenya aimed at celebrating African music, and on 27 July the fete will also kick off with a performance by Kenyan Chocolate City Girl Victoria Kimani.

The award winning Ice Prince is on the same label as Victoria, but Davido has his own record label - HKN Music.

All the songs I've recorded so far for the new project hmmm so much songs about love? Am I in love again? Hmm let's see were this goes .

Davido is currently working on releasing several singles this year, and has hinted that they are focused on love.

Princess Fifi Ejindu Talks Exclusively on Africa Arts and Fashion Banquet at The Dorchester Presented by Africa Fashion Week London

With six weeks left to the biggest African fashion extravaganza outside of Africa that is Africa Fashion Week London 2013 scheduled for 1-3 August 2013 at Old Truman Brewery, AFWL patron Princess Fifi Ejindu has given us an exclusive sneak peek at another grand event as part of the week that is Africa Arts and Fashion Banquet to be held at The Dorchester Hotel on Sunday, 4 August 2013.
The first edition of African Arts and Fashion Banquet supported by the AFWL patron, Abuja-based businesswoman, architect and philantrophist, Princess Fifi Ejindu will see leading dignitaries, first ladies, celebrities, designers and business people both from Africa and Diaspora attend this exclusive event at the prestigious venue.
Speaking of the event and her support to Africa Fashion Week London 2013, Princess Fifi Ejindu said:
“I believe Africa Fashion Week London is a great platform for African talent and a great opportunity for Africa to showcase the talent that we possess. The era of the hungry African child is long over and it is now time for our culture to be recognized globally.”
“With this event we intend to raise start-up funds for emerging talent and tuition fees for extremely talented designers, hence in a way we are empowering the youth of Africa. While some have the opportunity and the funds to start their fashion labels, many others have no one to give them an opportunity or the funds they need. We have all the natural resources and all the talent in Africa but we should not leave it just to our leaders to help progress. If each of us were to sweep our own doorstep, the world would become a cleaner place. Therefore, this is our way to help emerging talent to a global platform and the funds they need,” Ejindu added.
Not giving away too much about what is sure to be a spectacular debut event, Ejindu also hinted that the African Arts and Fashion Banquet will play host to the crème de la crème of African dignitaries and VIPs. “We have some First Ladies of Nigeria already confirm their attendance.” Ejindu says, “Also the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Edem Duke who has given his endorsement to the event will be in attendance.”
