Zambian Model Mofya Chisenga Dies During Childbirth
The popular 28yr old Zambian model, beauty queen and entrepreneur died during childbirth last weekend, Friday Oct 14, 2011. The model had been very sick while pregnant. Doctors said she had fluid in her lungs. They managed to deliver her baby but couldn't save her.
Mofya represented Zambia at Tourism Queen International Pageant 2005 in China and the Miss Universe in Los Angeles California.
Zambia is mourning her. May her soul rest in peace...amen.
Kevin Lucciano-Gabriel survives near-fatal accident
The near fatal accident occurred at about 3am in the early hours of Saturday Oct 1 2011 in Abuja. Kevin Lucciano was in the car with 4 other friends coming from the congress lounge on his way to his residence in Gana street Maitama when the accident took place.
He was rushed to a clinic in Abuja along with the others but was moved to another hospital when he wasn't responding to treatment. A few days after the accident, the Question Mark Boss was flown out of the country in an air ambulance for further treatment.
From what we have gathered so far, Kevin has three broken ribs and a left lung that went flat, but he is now responding to treatment.

MANDELA’S GRANDDAUGHTERS FEATURE IN REALITY TV SHOW
Three of former president Nelson Mandela‘s granddaughters are set to hit the TV screen as they will featuring in their very own reality show.
Viewers will be taken into the world of Zaziwe Dlamini-Manaway, 34, Swati Dlamini, 32 (both Zenani Mandela‘s daughters), and cousin Dorothy Adjoa Amuah, 27, as they go about their everyday lives. The producers of the show have emphasized that the series will not be about the Mandela family.
The yet-to-be titled show will be produced by popular South African director Graeme Swanepoel and US producer Rick Leed (of the Dr 90210 reality show) has also been linked to working with the crew. The show might be aired in other countries including the US.

Blackberry: Subscribers call for extension of subscription for service disruption
Lagos – The National Association of Telecom Subscribers (NATCOMS)
has called on service providers to extend subscriptions for blackberry users
who have been experiencing service disruption since Oct. 10.
Chief Deolu Ogunbanjo, President of NATCOMS on Thursday in
Lagos said that the extension would compensate subscribers
for their inability to surf the web during the period of the disruption.
“Although Blackberry service is franchise to blackberry users
in Nigeria, but adequate compensation, in terms of extension
of their subscription, should be provided.
“They should compensate their subscribers for the three days of disruption to blackberry services.
“The extension has to be given by the service providers because
Blackberry renders the service through their networks,” Ogunbanjo said.
Ogunbanjo said that the association would officially report the disruption of blackberry services to the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC)..
He also said that NATCOMS could even take issue up the issue
at the global level, if nothing was done by the NCC..

FOREIGN Affairs Minister, Olugbenga Ashiru, on Wednesday welcomed the United States (U.S.) trial of Umar Abdulmutallab a few hours after the Nigerian pleaded guilty of trying to blow up a U.S.-bound plane on Christmas Day in 2009.

Michigan, U.S., Abdulmutallab pleaded guilty to eight criminal counts,
including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted
murder of 289 people.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has confirm it has ace actor Omidina Babatunde also known as Baba Suwe , in its custody and that the comedian placed under observation is yet to excrete suspected ingested drug.

SHOCKER: Baba Suwe Arrested for Drugs Yesterday Night at International Airport!
Indeed with the rate at which celebrities are trying to increase their source of income as left many thinking otherwise. Some of them have been accused of practicing fetish act just to get richer, with the ladies been accused of going into big time prostitution and the men in the dating older society women for money.
Yoruba comic act and actor, Babatunde Omidina, alias Baba Suwe wasn't so lucky, as he was apprehended yesterday night at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, by NDLEA officials on his way to Paris. He was about to board an Air France flight, before substances suspected to be drugs were seen hidden in his stomach.
He however denied taking in the drugs after he was arrested until he went through the scanner, and could not explain the white substances seen in his stomach.
He is now been detained at the NDLEA office at the airport and currently under observation pending the time he will start excreting the drugs.

Terry spoke out in support of club owner Roman Abramovich’s plans to buy out the Chelsea Pitch Owners' (CPO) stake in the Stamford Bridge freehold, with the proposal subject to growing criticism as it is seen as the first step in a move away from the Blues’ current home.
"Obviously, I have great memories of Stamford Bridge," Terry said. "But what excites me is the thought of my kids, who are Chelsea through and through, being able to grow up watching the team play in a big stadium.
"It's not hidden that other clubs throughout Europe have gone out and bought sites for big stadiums. And we are not the only club with a rich owner. There are others, including QPR locally, who are going to look to expand in west London as well."

Abdulmuttalab Pleads Guilty To All Charges Against Him
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab surprised courtroom officials and spectators on the second day of his trial today Wednesday Oct 12, by pleading guilty to all the counts against him.
