Few days ago, a supposed male version and response to Waje's I Wish done by a new act who goes by the stage name SaShay Gaan surfaced on-line and appeared on major Music Blogs. It's coming in a year after Waje released her own version and in a way revived the original song. Waje had a good dose of the song and later came on Twitter to confess that she welcomed the song. She tweeted: "My fav i wish cover" alongside with a download link to the song.

The song which is said to be produced by SaShay himself. Though I was expecting the song to be beefing the International Act, it turned out to be a well made song with a catchy chorus and nice lines. Get the the two versions below and Listen to it and you'll know why Waje welcomed this song.

BREAKING NEWS: MAGiKAL Entertainment drops Cocoice

The management of MAGiKAL Entertainment wishes to inform the general public that it has decided to terminate the management contract it has with Nigerian rap act Mojisola Serah Sowole aka Cocolce due to some irreconcilable differences.

Without going into full details, we decided to terminate the contract since the act has reneged on some of the terms of the initial agreement (both written and verbal) which has led our organization to incur so much loss running into millions of Naira.

                        A delay in quest for admission into the University after his secondary

                 Obi and was offered a record deal which he gladly accepted and recorded a
                   song titled, *“Whyne Am For Me*”. The song was produced by Sahara
                      productions. The zealous artiste is still recording and working ahead of
                                          his first album.

                     Charass is from Mbaise LGA of Imo State, Nigeria but was born and bred in

The United States Consulate is hosting the nominees of The Future Awards Africa (TFAA) 2013 to an exclusive reception in Lagos, Nigeria.

The invitation-only dinner holds on Thursday, 11 July at the Ikoyi, Lagos residence of the Consul-General, Jeffery Hawkins.

“We are excited to have the United States officials recognize the exceptional quality of the nominees and the awards and to host this exclusive event,” said Ohimai Atafo, who is head of the Central Working Committee for the awards. “We look forward to a beautiful evening, and a purposive interaction.”

The reception is another highlight in the schedule of exclusive events to celebrate and deepen the work of the awards nominees – drawn from across the country and outside.

Earlier this week, the CWC had also announced a groundbreaking partnership with the British Council to present ‘The International Young Media Entrepreneur of the Year’ 2013.

"We are certainly looking forward to hosting and celebrating the nominees of The Future Awards Africa,” said Mr. Hawkins. He will be speaking with the nominees on ‘Young People & Taking The Lead on Africa’s Future”.

“Every year, we are over-whelmed by the sheer intensity of achievement and inspiration that we find from our nominees,” said Chude Jideonwo, who is executive director of The Future Project. “This year, we excited to continue and heighten that tradition, especially since the awards are now continent. We look forward to joining the US Consulate in celebrating the exceptional leaders, innovators, change-makers and entrepreneurs that are nominees for The Future Awards 2013, and to present them as role models to Africa’s teeming youth population.”

Echoing this, Nigeria’s Minister of Communication Technology, Omobola Johnson has paid tribute to the Class of 2013, nominees for The Future Awards announced yesterday.

“I think this is a very inspiring initiative, i have known about The Future Awards for many years now. Its inspiring even for those of us who have crossed the youth age, you inspire not only the older Nigerians but others coming behind you. ” She said. “i will encourage everyone of us to go to www.thefutureafrica.com/awards to read about the very inspiring stories of this young Nigerians who have done so much to make our country proud and done so much to ensure that we continue to have confidence in our youth”

CITY PEOPLE ENTERTAINMENT MAGAZINE just released its 2013 Entertainment Awards, comprising of Nigerian and Ghanaian categories. The question I ask repeatedly in my mind after viewing this list was, if there's a 'Yoruba' category for actors why wasn't Igbo and Hausa included. Is it a Yoruba award or are they saying the Igbo movies isn't dominating enough to have a category? Or what's the need for the segregation?

Jay stayed true to his #newrules slogan after selling a million records to Samsung in an unprecedented deal that forced the Recording Industry Association of America to rewrite their own rules, now counting digital album sales.

The RIAA posted a photo of Executive VP of Communications Jonathan Lamy, Executive VP Mitch Glazer and Director of Communications for the Gold & Platinum Program Liz Kennedy presenting Hova with his plaque on their Facebook, making this his 12th platinum album.

However, Billboard was not on the same page when it came to counting Jay’s million copies sold to Samsung, and the magazine’s editorial director, Bill Werde, explained why.

“Our role as the chart of record is to set the rules, and hopefully even raise the level of play. It is in this spirit that I say it wasn't as simple as you might think to turn down Jay-Z when he requested that we count the million albums that Samsung ‘bought’ as part of a much larger brand partnership, to give away to Samsung customers.
