AFRICA FASHION WEEK NIGERIA ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH JUMIA



We are delighted to announce that JUMIA, Nigeria’s Largest Online retailer with over 20,000 Fashion Items in Store has recently expanded its reach promoting more African Fashion through a partnership with Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN).
Jumia Nigeria is the one stop shop for fashion in Nigeria, giving as much visibility to Nigerian designers to showcase their products online and reach their target audience all over Nigeria. The partnership with Africa  Fashion Week Nigeria also allows both parties to engage more fashion on the continent and discover New Talents in the Industry.
Prior to the launch in Nigeria, Africa Fashion Week already planned successful events in the UK and other European countries. Jumia Nigeria will be partnering with the inaugural edition of the AFWN, showcasing collections from upcoming fashion designers in Nigeria and other parts of the world. Some of the designers at the Fashion Week are Isi AtagamenJedidah, Long Feet Boutique and many more.
Jumia, through empowering Nigerian designers recently launched it’s Proudly Nigerian store called ‘By Naija’, Co-CEO Jumia Nigeria Jeremy Doutte stated “We are always proud to reckon with Nigerian Fashion, following our success with ‘By-Naija’ We look forward to encouraging more creativity in Nigeria with the African Fashion Week partnership coming up in Nigeria’



 The organiser of the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria Ronke Ademiluyi stated that ‘We are also glad about this partnership and how it leads us to working with great Nigerian fashion brands, This partnership will act as a distribution channel for our designers, and ensure that their brands are readily available,  The future of fashion will come from Nigeria and we hope to discover it at this Years AFW’ 
To round up the week, Jumia will be announcing the best emerging Designer at AFWN, with recognition for the 1st and 2nd runners up Designers.
To add to the line-up for successful designers at AFWN, Jumia is hosting a one day workshop for top 3 emerging designers at the event, educating them on entrepreneurship and how to reach their target audience through online retailer as a sales/marketing tool for their brand.
Ticket sales for the Upcoming African Fashion Week Nigeria will be available on Jumia.com with delivery option all over Nigeria. Fashion fans can also win free tickets to the fashion week through various promotions on Jumia website and also by participating in the conversation on Jumia’s Facebook and Twitter before the Event.
