'Sandfilled Plastic Bottle Houses'. Is this the way forward?

19-year old local mason, Yahaya Musa, inspects a wall of stacks of sand-filled plastic bottles in Sabongarin Yelwa village, near city of Kaduna on November 2, 2011. A local NGO Development Association for Renewable Energy (DARE) came up with the idea of 'plastic bottle house' which its inventors believe could solve Nigeria's 16 million housing units deficits and clean the badly populated environment by taking off the street, the over 3 million plastic water bottle waste the country generates everyday and putting them into housing. Rochas Okorocha Gives Imo School Children N100 Monthly Stipend!

The Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha on November 1 commenced the payment of monthly stipend to all primary and secondary schools students in the state. The allowance is for their 'upkeep'.

The primary school pupils will receive N100, while their secondary school counterparts will get N120.

Primary school monitors will get N120, while prefects in the secondary schools will receive N150.

I don't know whether to commend this or laugh. N100 per month? What do you buy with N100? Kuli Kuli? lol. Why not buy them books, school uniforms, sandals, build libraries and equip the schools with more facilities, etc.. just anything to make it work!!

Justin Bieber is a baby daddy?

The 17year old singer is at the centre of a paternity lawsuit which was filed by a 20 year old California resident, Mariah Yeater, claiming that she and the pop star had sex backstage after his concert in 2010, and that he is the now the father of her 3-month-old baby boy.

Na wa oooo...Read the full story after the cut...

Mariah claims she was approached last year by a security guard while seated in the front row of the star's concert and asked if she wanted to meet the singer backstage.

She said: 'Immediately, it was obvious that we were mutually attracted to one another, and we began to kiss. 'Shortly thereafter, Justin Bieber suggested that I go with him to a private place where we could be alone.'I agreed to go with him and on the walk to a private area, he told me he wanted to make love to me and this was going to be his first time.

'We went inside and immediately his personality changed drastically. He began touching me and repeatedly said he wanted to f*** the s*** out of me.

At the time I asked him to put a condom on for protection, but he insisted that he did not want to.'

'In his own words, he said that because it was his first time he wanted to feel everything.'

She is said to have described the intercourse as 'brief', lasting 'approximately 30 seconds'.

According to Radar Online, Yeater told a judge: 'When I later realized I was pregnant with Justin Bieber's baby, I tried to contact him through his representatives but no one ever called me back.'

She added: 'On July 6, 2011, I gave birth to a baby boy. That was exactly 36 weeks and two days after the sexual encounter with Justin Bieber.

Bieber's spokesperson has vehemently denied the allegations, and told Radar: 'While we haven't yet seen the lawsuit, it's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims.
