West Brom fine Odemwingie N16.5million

Odemwingie deadline day stuntPeter Osaze Odemwingie has been fined two weeks wages – £75,000 (more than N16.5million) – by West Brom, for attempting to force a move to Queens Park Rangers, but the Nigerian forward is now available for first team selection.
The 31-year-old drove all the way to Loftus Road onn transfer deadline day without Albion’s permission, but the deal never happened.
West Brom have taken disciplinary action against striker Peter Odemwingie in respect of his conduct over the past fortnight,” the club confirmed.
“Odemwingie has accepted his punishment. He will now resume full training with his team-mates and is available for first-team selection.”
In reaction to the fine he received, Odemwingie said: “I understand how my actions have been viewed and I want to apologise to the club and our supporters for any distress I have caused.
“I want to reassure everyone at the club and our fans that I will continue to give my all whenever I am selected. We have enjoyed a good season so far and I aim to play my part in keeping the club as high up the table as possible.”
Albion chairman Jeremy Peace added: “This has been an extremely difficult time for the club and it was imperative that we dealt with such a serious matter both fully and correctly.
“We made our position very clear throughout – both privately to Peter and publicly. Peter has apologised for his conduct to me personally and the club and our supporters as a whole.
“He has accepted his punishment and promised to comply with all club regulations moving forward. It was important that we resolved this episode as expediently as possible to enable everyone to focus on the most important issue at this club – competing in the Premier League.

Dear Agbani Darego, Will You Be My Valentine? Read Rap Star M.I’s Sweet “Love Letter” to the Former Miss World

Agbani BellaNaija
My Dearest Agbani Darego,
Will you be my valentine?
Do give this the utmost consideration. If you will be my valentine, let me say that I am, first, of all men most privileged, and second, about to engage in heavy research about what being someone’s valentine actually entails.
If you will not be my valentine, I must assume this is only because you would prefer me to ask you to marry me. If so, poste haste and with rapidity in extremis, I would, My Sweetling, desire your hand- and as much of the rest of you as possible -in blissful matrimony.
But wait. I traverse ahead of myself. I have not introduced myself. Sure I have spent many hours ogling over your Instagram photos and following you closely on Twitter, but I have never, as it were, had the opportunity of introducing myself.
I am The Editor.
Ah, My Lollipop, I can see your sad smile now. You are shaking your head, wondering if I am just another one of those men struck by your beauty and effortless grace.
Yes, it is true I am one of those men, but if I might add, I am even more awestruck by your beauty. There is no hope for me.
Marry me, My Cupcake.
Consider the advantages. I have discussed them below.
MI AgbaniMy Fondant, If you marry me, you will be fully protected in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse. I have watched Walking Dead (Seasons 1 and 2), and every zombie movie there is. I know how to finish them off (destroy the brain), how to stay alive (Run like hell) and how not to get slowed down by unnecessary hangers on. (I know so much, I am in fact publishing a simple handbook on this very subject called“Surviving The Zombie Apocalypse” available in stores shortly. You will of course, get a free signed copy.)
Secondly, the possibility exists that with your incredibly beautiful genes, and my deeply rooted interests in you, our offspring could be the very first of the race of super intelligent and super powerful humans. I can see it now: Junior finds the cure for cancer. His sister brings about world peace. You and I will bask in parental pride, secure in the knowledge that our union has benefited the world immensely. As I said, the possibility exists.
Thirdly, You will never have to worry about me going off to be an astronaut or being called off on some secret government mission to topple some enemy regime. I won’t even join the Bolivian Army. I suppose these are some of the first things you worry about when you a potential suitor approaches. Rest your lovely head at ease, My Peppermint stick, I will do none of these things.
Have you seen Les Miserables yet? I’m only asking because I haven’t and everyone is going on and on about it.
My Sweetest Sugarplum, I know we have a lot to figure out, but let us ignore the little details of whether you love me or whether you want to get married at all or whether you will be able to stand me. You must believe me when I say those are minor details.
Say you will be my valentine, that is all I ask.
And if you cannot grant that, grant me your personage in marriage.
And if that proves impossible, could I please have your phone number, house address and your word that you will never ever ever take out a restraining order against me?
Thank you, My Strawberry Tart.
Yours Infinitely,
The Editor
Agbani Bday M.IWe are loving the wordplay and the sentiment but M.I should please stop #washing us! We spotted him at Agbani’s birthday soiree with a special guest so…
One thing is for sure, M.I loves tall women!

Back in August 2012, Africa Fashion Week London enjoyed numerous positive reviews as it was a success. The organisers of AFWL recently made known to the public that the first Africa Fashion Week London 2012 concession store, Studio 29 is already launched in Lagos, Nigeria.
Regarding this fashion project, FAB MAGAZINE states that:
AFWL seeks to continue its support of African-inspired designers with this brand new initiative, the first official AFWL concession boutique… Studio 29 is the next step in making designers both at home and abroad accessible to their Nigerian clientele by providing a one-stop shop, a chic boutique catering for designers’ retail requirements and the ever-growing fashion-conscious Nigerian clients’ demand for a rich variety of designs by both brand new and established labels in one sophisticated retail space.
With a successful second edition of AFWL that saw over 20,000 guests from all walks and stations of life, this new project will be another success as the organizers have set the ball rolling for AFWL 2013 with inspirational patrons like Yinka Shonibare MBE and Mrs. Fifi Ejindu for this year’s edition according to PR Consultant, Sinem-Bilen Onabanjo in a recent post.
Studio 29 is located at 29, Opebi Road, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria and three other concession stores are currently in the works.

Sensational Gospel artiste, Nikki Laoye blazes a new trail into the world of broadcasting with her own radio show, "GIRLS ROCK! WITH NIKKI LAOYE", on Nigeria's 1st Online Gospel Radio Station, PraiseWorld Radio.

GIRLS ROCK!!!  WITH NIKKI LAOYE is a 2 hour weekly radio show, dedicated to projecting the impact being made by young women of faith in the world of Entertainment, Arts & Business with major emphasis on Nigeria, as well as references from the African and International scene.

Created by Nikki Laoye, GIRLS ROCK!!! is a fresh and catchy show, targeted at a general audience of men and women, simply to further encourage, promote and showcase the achievements of young women.
The show intends to primarily promote music by unsigned and established female gospel & inspirational artistes in Nigeria; showcase young women in business by promoting small scale business ideas developed by women in Nigeria and also tackle issues on Life, Relationships etc on a discussion platform - "GIRL TALK" -  for interaction by men and women alike.

In her words, "The show is my support to the PraiseWorld Radio brand, Nigeria's 1st Online gospel radio station, set up solely by an amazing young man, with vast listeners from Nigeria, Europe and even Asia. Very impressive, I must say and its high time we all learn to support innovative ideas especially in the Christian community. GIRLS ROCK!! is actually a program long overdue. Lots of women are doing great works out there but no one is giving them the recognition and support they deserve and that's what the show is primarily about.
Also everyone needs a listening ear, people are going through different challenges everyday and with the show, a discussion platform for interaction and exchange of ideas will be available as well.
it's simply "A Show by Girls, A Show for Everyone"

Unknown to many, Nikki Laoye is not new to the world of broadcasting. A year before her music debut in 2006, Nikki hosted a tv show  - NEW BREEZE SHOW, on Silverbird Television, produced by a young female entrepreneur, Temi, who presently runs a health TV show, HEALTHWISE, on same station. The show was an entertainment based show for teenagers and youths, creating a platform for interaction between celebrities and youths via interviews and hang-out programs. Nikki interviewed celebrities including PSquare, Ebuka (of BigBrother Nigeria fame), Kaffy and many more during the show's running season.
And now Nikki makes a comeback with GIRLS ROCK!!

The show will run every Thursday, 5pm-7pm on the platform of Online Gospel Radio Station, PraiseWorld Radio.
To listen in, simply click, choose your device (Blackberry, Android, iPhone and more), click OPEN and you're tuned in and locked on to Girls Rock! It's that easy.

Follow @girlsrock9ja , @PRAISEWORLD_  and @NikkiLaoye
for more updates and info on the show.

premieres this Thursday, 7th of February, 2013, 5pm-7pm

Praiseworld Radio is a Nigerian based urban online gospel radio station that offers a social platform for interaction, inspiration and all round gospel entertainment.
There is undoubtedly a large volume of good music with gospel content out there today. However, its inadequate promotion and projection makes it difficult to access. The same challenge applies to gospel news, entertainment and lifestyle – a need Praiseworld is called to meet.

Praiseworld is a Christian Media Organization that provides a social forum for inspiring and motivating people to lead a lifestyle that glorifies God via a wide variety of interaction tools, including Christian music, movies, news, concerts, events, quotes and entertainment.
Praiseword…building a habitation for God with our praises (Psalm 22:3)
