C-REAL DEBUTS WITH TWO SINGLES - OPEIMU FEAT. MANIFEST + HEWALE [STRENGHT] FEAT. E.L

Born Cyril-Alex Gockel, C-Real is a Ghanaian emcee from Hohoe in the Upper Volta region of Ghana. He was runner-up in 2009's Channel O Emcee Africa competition, losing to Zimbabwe's Zeus who was on Big Brother Africa and Botswana's Cibil Nyte.

The album EMCEO is themed on a rapper's dual nature as a businessman and an emcee. Featured on the album are Ghanaian heavyweights like E.L. (who did the hook on Sarkodie's You Go Kill Me), Efya, M.anifest and Channel O's J.town.

Opeimu and Hewale are two songs from the album. On the hiphop-ish Opeimu, he features Channel O nominated rapper, M.anifest while E.L. delivers a strong and touching hook on the latter which is named for the Twi word for strength, a ballad to encourage everyone passing through hard times and struggling for relevance.

A video for Hewale is to be shot in a forthnight in Accra, Ghana. Be on the lookout for more materials from C-Real as he takes over the world, one rap verse at a time.

Shuga V ft Timaya - change hands

Shuga V is no stranger to crafting quality music, having collaborated with several artists in the past including powerhouse producer and force behind Styl Plus, Mekoyo. A gifted songwriter, who has worked with songstress Waje and he also penned Mekoyo’s 2004 hit single, Money. In 2007, he scored a guest appearance on J. Martin’s debut album on the track “Swagger Dance and Walk it Like You Talk it’.Change Hand serves as a preview of sorts, to keep the appetite of his fans temporarily sated while familiarizing the rest of the world with the undeniable cornucopia of talent that is Shuga V.

The deeply introspective ‘Change Hand’ sees Shuga V celebrating the changes in his life that have come to serve as markers of his progress. This elevation from a relative state of want to plenty is relayed over a soulful beat produced by prolific and wave-making Phyno along with accompanying vocals from Bayelsa-born king of dancehall, Timaya. On the song, Shuga V shows the range of his ability by alternately rapping and singing effortlessly. Even with Phyno’s impeccable production inadvertently putting Timaya in his element, Shuga V takes the reins and sets the pace in this exercise in musical reflection.
We are proud to introduce you to the never- boring music world of Shuga V the original voice behind the popular catch phrase “Go Loco”  an anthem that dominated the airwaves especially on popular Beat 99.9 FM Lagos just on test activation. As you enjoy “Change Hand” please be on the lookout for the full Viral activation of “Go Loco” and “Love U Da Gaskiya”. Hardworking Shuga V is definitely one unique act to look out for and one of those that dominate the music scene in 2013 and beyond. He is currently Working with his Record Label Sofa Skies and Managed by Obvious Talent Management.

12 Christmas scams you should watch out for

Online Christmas shopping is expected to grow 22.4 percent alone this year to as much as $146 billion.
ICTCatalogue.com compiled together, Top 12 christmas scams to watch out for during this holiday.
Social Media Scams — Scammers use Twitter and Facebook. Friend’s accounts can get hacked so watch for fake alerts that install “holiday deal” apps that steal private data. Twitter ads can lead to fake websites that look authentic but then ask for your credit card information.
Malicious Mobile Apps — An estimated 33 percent of apps ask for more information than they need such as access to your contacts or location. Be careful to check reviews on the smartphone’s store because a malicious app may be designed to steal your information or even send out premium-rate text messages without your knowledge.
Travel Scams — Phony travel webpages with beautiful pictures and rock-bottom prices are used to get you to hand over your financial details. The FBI recently warned travelers of a hotel Wi-Fi scam in which a malicious pop-up ad prompts computer users to install a popular software product before connecting to their hotel Wi-Fi.
Holiday Spam/Phishing — Spam emails will take on holiday themes advertising cheap Rolex watches and pharmaceuticals. Never click on the included links.
The New iPad, iPhone 5, And Other Hot Holiday Gift Scams — Phony ads and contests for the latest products will install malware or attempt to steal information.
Skype Message Scare — There is a new Skype message scam that attempts to infect computers and even hold your files for ransom. The threat appears as a Skype instant message with the scam line “Lol is this your new profile pic?”. If you click on the included link, a Trojan downloads onto your hard drive, blasts the dangerous link to all of your contacts, and can even try to extort money from some PC users to regain access to their files.
Bogus Gift Cards — Scammers will get you to “purchase” fraudulent gift cards that will not work.
Holiday SMiShing — “SMiSishing” is phishing via text message. The scammer tries to lure you into revealing information or performing an action you normally wouldn’t do by pretending to be a legitimate organization. Be wary of text messages that supposedly come from your bank and want you to verify personal information or visit a website.
Phony E-tailers – Phony e-commerce sites, that appear real, try to lure you into typing in your credit card number and other personal details, often by promoting great deals. For example, electronics repair store harborelectronics.net had a copycat store at harborelectronics.com that stole their credit cards.
Fake Charities — Scammers will copycat real charities such as the Red Cross. One man ran a bogus charity for the “U.S. Navy Veterans Association” and gathered $2 million from donors over five years!
Dangerous e-Cards — Most e-cards are safe, but there are some that will install trojan viruses. Make sure your family members are actually sending you e-cards and that the e-card comes from a well known legitimate source.
Phony Classifieds — Phony offers ask for too much personal information or ask you to wire funds via Western Union. If you’re going to purchase an item or apply for a job, try to do it in person in a public place. Pay in cash and never agree to pay for an item before receiving it.
Remember to have some sort of antivirus or anti-malware installed not only on your computer but also on your tablet or smartphone. These tips for discovering common internet scams should help you during the holiday shopping season. Merry Christmas!

“I am not single” – D’Banj

Just a few weeks after he released a new song titled ‘Bachelor’, D’Banj has shocked a lot of single ladies, after he came out to state he was not single.
The Kokomaster told guests during a live interview at Tymeout with Tee A concert, that anyone who thinks he is not hooked up with someone, must be joking. In his own words, he said he is ‘occupied’.
“Even when I tell them I’m single, they don’t believe. So these days, I tell them what they want to hear. I mean look at me, at my state, would you expect that I won’t be seeing anyone?” he asked rhetorically.
The former Mohits star, has been linked with many women in the past and is easily one of Nigeria’s most eligible bachelors. But even sources close to him have said his assertion is ‘definitely not far from the truth’.
“Of course he’s dating. He’s a successful young man with many ladies interested in him. And he’s definitely dating. So it’s right if he says he’s not single. What no one knows is how serious these things are. And for sure, I can tell you that there are no wedding plans anywhere yet,” an insider squealed to NET over the weekend.....
