Beyonce Risks Loosing 100 Million Because of a Video Game

beyonce

U.S. singer Beyonce has to appear in court as she was sued for 100 million dollars by the developer of the Gate Five video game.
Gave Five started the legal proceedings to bring Beyonce in front of the court last year for an alleged breach of contract regarding the production of the Starpower: Beyonce game.
The company claims that Beyonce violated the contract willingly. Because of this, the Beyonce destroyed Gave Five’sbusiness and got 70 people fired last year, one week before Christmas.
Beyonce tried to convince the court that what she did is not against the contract, arguing that she had every right to pull out of the project because the Gate Five gaming studio lacked money to start the project.
Unfortunately for Beyonce, the court agreed with Gave Five and Beyonce has to appear in court, again.

Three crushed to death after container falls off truck in Lagos

Tragedy occurred on Wednesday when a truck with registration number XT 339 AKD carrying a 40 foot container slipped and collapsed on a mazda car with registration number UK 641 KJA killing three out of the four occupants of the car on the Badagry-Seme Expressway, around 1.15pm.
DailyPost gathered that passers-by swung into action almost immediately the accident occurred to rescued the trapped persons, before officials of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, came to the scene of the accident.
The source said that the truck which was conveying some goods lost control and fell on the Mazda car, killing three of the occupants instantly and leaving the fourth person in a critical condition.
He added that the truck driver fled immediately to avoid being lynched.
DailyPost also gathered that a bad portion of the road that has been left undone for a long time might have caused the accident.
Eyewitness said, “For the fact that the road is no longer manageable, road users often drive against traffic to avoid container carrying trucks; now it has claimed lives.”
He complained about the bad expressway describing it as a death zone.
He said, “This is an indication that we are all driving on a time bomb. It could be either of us tomorrow”

Soldiers chase UNIABUJA students out of hostels

The excessive desire of school authorities to use the military to quell protest on university campuses was again brought to the fore on Tuesday morning, when soldiers stormed the hostels of the University of Abuja, maltreating defenseless students with no just reasons.
The University Management had on Tuesday directed all students to vacate their hostels before 6am Wednesday.
The students had been protesting against the school’s inability to secure accreditation of certain programmes like Engineering courses. The action later led to the shut of the school.
Sources say the soldiers were reportedly invited to the institution by the University Vice Chancellor, James Adelabu.
An Engineering student who identified himself as Gabriel told DailyPost that “as at 6:30pm on Tuesday, soldiers and students raided the hostel at both campuses and ordered the student to leave”
“We were chased with rifles and sticks, what a shame! And we are in a democracy,” he lamented.
Efforts to get the side of the management’s story were unsuccessful as the Vice Chancellor, James Adelabu, did not respond to text messages sent to his mobile phone..

Major dealer arrested with 584kg of cannabis in Lagos

A suspected major cannabis dealer in Lagos has been apprehended by officers of the Lagos State command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). The arrest was made during raids on selected volatile areas used as hideouts by drug trafficking gangs in the State. Dried weeds suspected to be cannabis weighing 584kg was seized from the drug gangs at Olosha, Mushin where the suspect, Dada Etop Ejalonibu, 38 years old was apprehended. The suspect is currently being interrogated by narcotic investigators attached to the Lagos command.
Lagos State Commander of the anti-drug Agency, Mr Aliyu Sule stated that the drug suspect has been on the command’s list of wanted drug dealers. “The command has arrested one Dada Etop Ejalonibu who is believed to be a major distributor of cannabis in Mushin area of the State. We carried out two separate raid operations on their hideouts where the suspect who has been on our wanted list was arrested. In the first operation, 475.6kg of dried weeds of cannabis was seized while another 108.4kg was recovered in another operation bringing the total quantity of cannabis to 584kg” Aliyu explained. The commander appealed to Lagos residents to report activities to the Agency for prompt action.
The suspect accepted ownership of the drugs adding that joblessness forced him into drug sales. In his words, “I have been dealing in drugs for the past three years. At the time of my arrest my partner had gone out. I dropped out of the University in 200 levels due to lack of sponsorship. The cannabis trade enable me to take care of my wife and three children. I had wanted to quit but the profit is high and there is no alternative job opportunity”. Dada Etop hails from Osun State.
Chairman/Chief Executive of the Agency, Ahmadu Giade said that the raid operations are preparative efforts by the Agency towards a hitch free yuletide. “The raid operations being carried out in Lagos and other States are designed to cut off drug supplies to drug addicts. The strategy is yielding good results; imagine the seizure of 584kg of cannabis in two raids. There will be series of similar operations between now and December to ensure a safe and peaceful end of year celebrations. Any person connected to this case will be brought to book. The raids will be extended to key points in the country in the days ahead” Giade assured.
