UNIPORT students were mobilised by students of other universities under the umbrella of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS. The students blocked major roads in Port Harcourt before moving to Aluu but fortunately for the indigenes, they were all gone before the students got there..

KANYE FEARS KIM’S NOT A PARIS FIT

I learned exclusively that Kanye West had “no intentions” of bringing reality star girlfriend Kim Kardashian to Paris Fashion Week. “He didn’t think it was good for his reputation,” a Kanye spy tells us. “He didn’t want to hurt her feelings.”
The rapper turned fashion designer choose not to show his fashion collection this season, after his two previous Paris shows were bashed by critics. But he RSVP’d without a plus one to numerous shows weeks before telling Kim he was even going.
Despite his inability to handle criticism, West is expected to be back in Paris in March to show his own fashion line, sources said. For now, though, he is palling around with some of Europe’s most famous designers, including Peter Dundas of Pucci, Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy, and Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel. And Kanye may adore Kim, but sources close to the rapper say “he’s uncomfortable bringing her” and “wants to be taken seriously.”
Or is Kim really Pregnant? Like so many media outlets are reporting.
The last time Kanye took Kim along was to Paris Couture week in July. It was a disaster

16-year-old girl confesses to being part of satanic cult that drinks human blood
Follow@ebonychic4life
A 16-year-old Bulawayo girl from Zimbabwe has confessed to being part of a satanic cult that allegedly drinks human blood and feeds on human flesh.
The girl left residents’ representatives and Councillor Collet Ndhlovu under whom Cowdray Park falls, dumb-founded as she gave out a list of 38 people including their addresses, which her cult had allegedly killed in the suburb.
She went on to mention about 60 people that she said she worked with. Included in the list were leaders of a big church in Cowdray Park. The girl also gave the address of a house she claimed had an underground room where corpses were kept for the Satanists to feed on.
Mr Stanley Kwashira, the organising secretary of the residents association in Cowdray Park, yesterday said he was still grappling with the “shock of the horror tale.”
“She came to my house with her mother and two members of the residents association in her area last week. She said she was recruited to the group by a 32-year-old man (name withheld), who was her boyfriend. I was ready to dismiss the tale as fabrication of an over-active teenage imagination when she started naming people who we knew had died in the suburb, accurately giving dates of death and addresses,” said a stunned Mr Kwashira.
He said the girl said she joined the group last year when she was 15 years old.
“She said she was in love with a man in the area and one day in June last year, she collapsed as she was going to the shops. She said two men, including the boyfriend, then took her to a house near the bus stop popularly known as the sign post. She said there is an underground room where she went through an initiation process, which included drinking human blood and eating the flesh of dead people,” said Mr Kwashira.
He said the girl revealed that there were about 60 Satanists in the suburb who used to meet at the house.
“She gave names that I am still finding hard to believe. She named some leaders from the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cowdray Park. The girl said the Satanists could become invisible and drain blood from a living person in broad daylight. She said the victims would start feeling weak and go to sleep while the unlucky ones would die,” he said.
Mr Kwashira said the girl told them that she had an invisible basket that she used to fly to rural areas with the cult to “drink from healthy” rural people.
“She said at the last rural raid which lasted about three weeks, last month, her colleagues kicked her out of the group saying it was no longer possible for them to work with her. They said someone from her family was making strong prayers on her behalf, which were creating havoc in their working environment,” he said.
Mr Kwashira said residents leaders needed to engage the police and raid the houses where the girl said Satanists lived.
“She said human blood is the best tasting drink she has ever had. These people were abusing this child. We should get the police and a certified prophet or inyanga and raid those homes. We cannot have killers living among us,” he said.
Mr Kwashira said the girl’s mother sobbed uncontrollably throughout the narrative.
When Chronicle visited the suburb yesterday, the girl said her mother had instructed her not to speak to anyone on the matter.
When this reporter called her mother, she said she was in Harare and would only grant a face to face interview last night or this morning. Contacted for comment, Clr Ndhlovu confirmed the incident.
“Yes, the matter has been reported to me. It is still not known to a majority of residents. We should handle it tactfully because it has the potential to create a bloodbath in the suburb,” said Clr Ndhlovu. He said it was frightening to hear that there were people who were eating other people in the suburb.
“The matter was reported to the police last week. Today, I am going to the police to work out a way of solving the issue without raising tempers. I also think the people who were mentioned should be investigated and their houses searched,” said Clr Ndhlovu.
Police spokesperson for Bulawayo Inspector Mandlenkosi Moyo could neither confirm nor deny the incident.
“We will give you the information as soon as we get it,” said Insp Moyo.

UNIPORT suspends all school activities, declares 7-day mourning period for murdered
Follow@ebonychic4life
The management of University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State, yesterday condemned the gruesome killing of its students by irate mob at Omokere-Aluu community last Friday.
The school has declared a seven-day mourning, suspending all school activities including its students’ union week which would have commenced yesterday.
Speaking to newsmen at the main campus of the institution, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Joseph Ajienka, flanked by other principal officers, described the killing of the students as a horrendous crime, stressing that the university is totally against such act of jungle justice.
He confirmed that three of the deceased persons were students of the university. They were identified as Biringa Lordson, a year two Theatre Arts student; Ugonna Obuzor, a year two Geology student and Mike Toku, a year two Civil Engineering student.
Although, the fourth person killed alongside the others was identified as Tekena Erikena, the university said efforts were still on to confirm if he was its student.
The VC however dispelled allegations that students of the university were mobilizing to invade Omokere-Aluu community on a reprisal attack emphasizing that lawlessness will not be condoned.
Prof. Ajienka commiserated with the bereaved families and friends while calling on security operatives to fish out those behind the unfortunate incident.

Mrs. Jane Toku, the mother of Lloyd, one of the four undergraduates of the University of Port Harcourt that were lynched at Aluu community in Rivers State, says her son’s death will always haunt her.
She also expressed shock that the crowd could watch how her son and his friends were gruesomely murdered. Jane spoke with Punch correspondent amid tears on Monday in Port Harcourt.
Jane said, “When we got there, one of them was still breathing. He was gasping for breath, but the crowd…they were all there watching while my baby (Lloyd) was butchered. Come to my area and ask questions about my child; the child I trained.
“Penultimate Sunday, we went to church, Salvation Ministry; that is where he worshipped. We all went together for the second service. He stayed back for the remaining service. When he came back, he started preparing to go to school. I can still see him as I talk to you.
“He brought out a book; ‘How Faith Works’ by David Ibiyomie and he said ‘Mummy, read this book and you will know what faith is all about. By the time I come back on Friday, you will tell me what faith is all about.’
“Ever since, I have been moving around with that book, so that I could read and not get him angry when he comes back from school and ask me about what I learnt from the book.
“Thursday was his daddy’s birthday. He (Lloyd) called him and wished him happy birthday. When his daddy asked him if he would be coming home to celebrate the birthday with the family, he (Lloyd) promised to be back on Friday after lectures.
“But on Friday morning, we got the call that my son was being beaten. How can I erase the fact that my son was lynched from my mind? He studied very hard and got admission into the university.”
Meanwhile, the community was like a ghost town on Monday as the inhabitants of the area left their homes to avoid being arrested by security agents.
Shops, restaurants and mini supermarkets were also shut by their owners who felt students of the university were planning a reprisal on the community.
Four students were on Friday morning lynched by suspected members of the community for allegedly stealing laptops and mobile phones.
Students living off campus in the community were not left out in the rush to leave the community to avoid the wrath of security agents, who had been patrolling the area.
The police had since the killing of the four students arrested 13 suspects from Omuokiri village in Aluu, including the village head.
Immediate past President of UNIPORT Student’s Union, Mr. Rhino Owhorkire, told our correspondent that students had shelved the idea of any reprisal.
Owhorkire vowed not to rest until those behind the killings were brought to book.
Lloyd’s parents appealed to government not to allow those involved in the gruesome murder of their child and his friends go scot-free.
Lloyd Toku was a 200 level undergraduate of Civil Engineering at the university before he was killed.
Speaking with PUNCH Metro on Monday, Lloyd’s father, Mr. Mike Toku, insisted that his son was neither a thief nor a cult member.
Toku, who is the Assistant Director, Presentation, Radio Rivers and a father of three male children, narrated how he got a distress call that his son was being beaten up by a mob.
He said, “On Friday morning at about 7am, we got a distress call that our son was being beaten alongside two of his friends. So, we quickly rushed down. Initially, it was very difficult for us to locate the place, but by the grace of God, we were able to locate the place.
“By the time we got there, we saw a mammoth crowd with a few Joint Task Force members there. So, we pulled through the crowd and when I tried to move closer, the JTF operatives told me to move back. Later on, one of my cousins supported me and we moved on again and explained to them (JTF operatives).
“I move close to the four corpses on the ground and I discovered that one of them was my son. We were also able to identify the other three as his friends. We took the corpses to UPTH to ascertain whether they were still alive. A doctor came out, examined them and said they were all dead. My son has never stolen before,” Toku explained amid tears.
He called on government not to allow those behind the gruesome murder of his son and his friends to go unpunished.
“All I want is for justice to be done. That’s all. Whoever carried out that dastardly act should be brought to book. That is all I want. I have not got assurance from anybody that justice will be done. I am yet to get that (assurance). Nobody has talked to us yet.
Also, Toku’s wife, Mrs. Jane Toku, stated that the crowd was watching while his son was being butchered to death.
