Davido, Ice Prince for Kenyan Boombata

I'm not even sure what Boombata means, but I'm told it’s something like "welcome to a celebration".

Next month, in the same vein, Nairobi will be welcoming Nigerian stars Davido and Ice Prince for the inaugural Boombata Festival, organized by Chocolate City Kenya and Adrenalive.

It will be Davido’s first visit to a Kenyan stage, while Ice Prince will be making a come-back.
It is thought that Davido will be coming into Kenya fresh from a performance in Uganda, but that is yet to be confirmed. Ice Prince on the other hand will have just wound up a tour of North America, which will take him through Houston, Dallas, LA, Atlanta and Toronto among several other cities.
Boombata is a series of festivals in Kenya aimed at celebrating African music, and on 27 July the fete will also kick off with a performance by Kenyan Chocolate City Girl Victoria Kimani.

The award winning Ice Prince is on the same label as Victoria, but Davido has his own record label - HKN Music.

All the songs I've recorded so far for the new project hmmm so much songs about love? Am I in love again? Hmm let's see were this goes .

Davido is currently working on releasing several singles this year, and has hinted that they are focused on love.
