I’ll Refuse $1Million To Act In Bikini – Actress Halima Abubakar

png-13
Halima Abubakar, was hosted on ‘Sunrise’ at Channels TV yesterday as the artist of the week; when she was asked what role she would willingly turn down for a $1 Million, the actress responded by saying “For the fact that i’m a responsible woman, and i love and respect my country, and of course my family, i would not take a role that has to do with baring it all….you know…nudity….” She went ahead to say she will think about wearing a bikini in a movie role for that amount of money.
Just for curiosity, what is the difference between wearing the below dress to an event in real life and wearing a bikini in a movie role?watch video

Whitney Houston's most sparkling moments

On February 11 2012, at the age of 48, Whitney Houston passed away.
Having spent close on three decades in the spotlight, Whitney’s later years were muddled by controversy, as her relationships and struggle with drug addiction saw her making headlines frequently, for all the wrong reasons.

But with her starring role, alongside Jordin Sparks, in Sparkle, it seemed Whitney was back, and just as the world started hearing of her potential comeback, she tragically passed away.

With the premiere of Sparkle tonight (Friday 9 August, 20:30 on M-Net Movies Premiere), this seems a perfect time to look back and remember Whitney for the right reasons – all centred on her startling talent.

Presenting our picks for Whitney Houston’s greatest moments:

Making her television debut on The Merv Griffin Show in 1983

Whitney made her very first television appearance at the age of 19, having just been discovered and signed to Arista Records by Clive Davis. Whitney hadn’t even begun recording her first album yet, but with her rendition of Home, from musical, The Wiz, she blew viewers away.

Singing the US national anthem at the 1991 Super Bowl

Whitney’s version of The Star Spangled Banner received such a massive response that it was released as a commercial single, climbing to the Top 20 of the Billboard 100 chart. She remains the only musician to turn the national anthem into such a big hit.

Tiwa Savage wishes for Don Jazzy, D'Banj reunion

If wishes were horses, Don Jazzy and D’Banj will come together as before. That’s one earnest wish Tiwa Savage made known at a recent interview she granted Style Magazine.

Tiwa Savage, who is touted as Mavin Records’ first lady, said she prays that the two music founders of defunct Mo’Hits Records will come back together.

"I am still in shock and when I listen to songs like Suddenly, I am like is this really happening? And I feel like they have left a void in the music industry in Nigeria and in Africa."

Though she says she knows nothing of what caused the rift between the two former friends and business partners, beyond what she read in the tabloids, Tiwa maintains that her boss, Don Jazzy is indeed a "mysterious" guy.

"I’ll tell you the honest truth about Don Jazzy…he really is like that. He doesn’t really open his heart easily to people. He just accepts what happens and he moves on. I mean he is the Don, so I can’t go up to him and say 'Jazzy, what really happened?' I just keep my mouth shut," she said.

Tiwa joined Mavin Records in May 2012 after the demise of Mo’Hits Records label.

The old Mo’Hits crew had as members D’Banj, Wande Coal, Dr. Sid, D’Prince and KSwitch

Sho'le crooner Sean Tizzle and 2013 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Anna Banner cover the August edition of The Redsheet Magazine.
