If you find maybe two of my ex’s, you will find out that I’ve had proposals. But I turned them down because at the end of the day, you are saying ‘I pick this person above everybody else in the world, till death do us part.’ I had better believe that! Multichoice Ghana fights piracy

Multichoice Ghana with the assistance of the Ghana Police and the National Communications Authority, have recently succeeded in arresting and prosecuting a ring that have been involved in operating pirate DStv services.
On the 28th March 2012 two individuals were arrested for operating a pirate MMDS system in Bujumbura.  Subsequent to this, they pleaded guilty in court on 23 August 2012 and are due to be sentenced in September 2012
The raid was carried out by a team from the Ghanaian Police, assembled by the Piracy Desk of the CID ASP Seth Sewornu.  They raided the pirate outlets and warehouse which were selling and distributing illegal equipment, which will be destroyed. This was following investigations into two kinds of piracy in Mankessim, Tarkwa and Budunburam. The first type was the use of multiple DSTV decoders and the second was the use of a non DSTV decoder and an antenna to hack into DStv signals for rebroadcast at a monthly fee to subscribers.
MultiChoice Ghana congratulates the Police for their professional and successful initiative which is aimed at combating piracy.
Eleven raids in total have been carried out and the team is currently working on another investigation that will lead to arrests of several people operating DStv pirate systems.
Cecil Sunkwa – Mills, General Manager of Multichoice Ghana commented “Piracy has a detrimental impact on the whole television, production, music industry and will lead to the erosion of many livelihoods – especially for artists’, actors, musicians and filmmakers’ as it infringes directly on copyright and as a result any payment for the work these artist produce. Piracy also has a detrimental effect on the economy as these operations are not registered businesses and hence do not contribute to tax, employment or the growth of the television industry in Ghana”.
MultiChoice advises television viewers to check that the operation that they are subscribing to is legitimate in terms of its content rights and is on the latest technology, failing to do so may result in the loss of any investment that has been made in receiving equipment.

Organic food is not healthier, finds study

aphrodisiac-foods.OMGghanaHooked to organic food for its supposed health benefits? Here’s some food for thought. In the largest analysis of studies till date on organic food, researchers from Stanford University have said there is “little evidence of healthier benefits from organic food over those grown conventionally”.
The researchers found no difference in protein or fat content between organic and conventional milk. No consistent differences were also seen in the vitamin content of organic products. Only one nutrient — phosphorus — was significantly higher in organic food as compared to conventionally grown produce.
The only benefit found was that consumption of organic food can reduce the risk of pesticide exposure.
“Organic produce was 30% less likely to be contaminated with pesticides than conventional fruits and vegetables,” said the study published on Tuesday in the medical journal Annals of Internal Medicine.
The study, however, added that organic foods are not necessarily 100% free of pesticides.
Also, organic chicken and pork appeared to reduce exposure to antibiotic-resistant bacteria. “There isn’t much difference between organic and conventional foods if you’re an adult and making a decision based solely on your health,” said Dena Bravata, senior author of the study.
Dr Ritika Samaddar, chief dietician at Max Hospital agreed with the finding but said cost is a big factor behind organic food still not being that popular.
“We knew that nutritionally organic food isn’t any different to conventionally grown food. However, insecticides and pesticides in food can cause illnesses like cancer. We always suggest people should have conventionally grown food by washing them well. People should consume more seasonal food as against stored food,” Dr Samaddar said.
For the analysis, researchers identified 237 of the most relevant papers published till date including 17 studies of populations consuming organic and conventional diets and 223 studies that compared either the nutrient levels or the bacterial, fungal or pesticide contamination of various products (fruits, vegetables, grains, meats, milk, poultry and eggs) grown organically and conventionally. The duration of the studies involving human subjects ranged from two days to two years.
Bravata, a senior affiliate with Stanford’s Center for Health Policy, and Crystal Smith-Spangler, an instructor in the school’s division of general medical disciplines, did the comprehensive meta-analysis. “Some believe that organic food is always healthier and more nutritious,” said Smith-Spangler. “We were a little surprised that we didn’t find that.”
The researchers said their aim was to educate people, not to discourage them from making organic purchases.
According to a recent report, the organic food market in India is growing at 20-22% annually and with exports is valued at Rs 1,000 crore. India produced around 3.88 million tonnes of certified organic products, including basmati, pulses, tea, coffee, spices and oilseeds. According to government data, area under organic farming had risen to 1.08 million hectares. Among organic crops, cotton is the single largest accounting for nearly 40% of total area followed by rice, pulses, oilseeds and spices.
Organic foods are often twice as expensive as their conventionally grown counterparts. “If you look beyond health effects, there are plenty of other reasons to buy organic instead of conventional,” noted Bravata.
She listed taste preferences and concerns about the effects of conventional farming practices on the environment and animal welfare as some of the reasons people choose organic products. She also said people should aim for healthier diets overall.
The researcher emphasized the importance of eating of fruits and vegetables, “however they are grown”, noting that most Americans don’t consume the recommended amount.
India faces a similar problem. Around 51% men and 48% women have high fat diets. Almost three in five men and an equal number of women have low intake of fruit and vegetables. Adequate consumption of fruits and vegetables (five or more servings per one typical day) is reported to be higher in urban areas than rural population (27% vs 21%). Insufficient intake of fruits was higher in low-income groups as compared to more affluent sections.
This study obviously must be taken very seriously given both its scale and the credibility of the institution that has undertaken it. However, it would be dangerous to rush to extrapolate from this to the Indian situation. Patterns of both fertiliser and pesticide consumption in Ghana are entirely different from those in the US or other parts of the developed world. Given the relatively low use of chemicals, it might seem that the one benefit the study has found in the case of organic foods may not apply to Ghana. On the other hand, given the poor regulatory environment here, the risks could actually be higher. Rather than speculating about which of these two possibilities actually is true, it would be best if a similar study were done for food in Ghana.

Why Men Really Pay For Sex

oral sexAs it turns out, some men believe they really can buy love.A recent study reviewing the emotions and motivations of sex workers and the clients who hire them has found that about one-third of men who pay for sex also want to have a personal relationship with their escorts.
Authored by George Washington University sociology professor Ronald Weitzer and Los Angeles sexologist Christine Milrod, the study, “The Intimacy Prism: Emotion Management among the Clients of Escorts,” reviewed 2,442 postings from an online forum where escorts and their clients can share and discuss encounters.
The website used in the research, TheEroticReview, receives between 250,000 and 300,000 unique visitors daily and contains more than 800,000 reviews and the contact information of 75,000 to 100,000 providers, according to a George Washington University press release.
“In recent years, we have come to see a gradual normalization of independent escort prostitution, where sexual encounters have come to resemble quasi-dating relationships,” Milrod said in a press release. “Our study shows that regular clients of a particular sex provider often come to experience feelings of deep affection, which can progress into an authentic love story.”
Many of the reviews, read and coded between May 9, 2006 and July 15, 2011, included frank expressions of a desire for more than physical satisfaction. For example, one poster, “One-Is-Al-One,” writes, ‘‘I love the sex, but it has recently occurred to me that I do it for more than sex. I do it for the affection, closeness, emotional connection, and the sexual release.’’
The “normalization” Milrod mentions can come in the form of shared finances, families and even an eventual monogamous relationship, she said.
The study, which was published in the journal Men and Masculinities, also looked at changes in the way sex worker services are packaged, specifically the increasing popularity of the so-called “girlfriend experience,” in which the relationship between client and service provider becomes purposefully semi-dating in nature.
During such an experience, “Sex remains part of the service but it is coupled with mutual sharing, support, and companionship. Like any other commercially packaged leisure activity, intimacy is now readily available for a price,” the authors wrote.
Motives for initial payment for sex included finding someone who would stick around for simple conversation, as well as a desire for different types of fantasy role-playing and abuse targetingaccording to CBS Las Vegas.
Many clients speak about “counterfeit” intimacy, warning other visitors not to allow prostitutes to “lead you on” with false claims of love. They “will deny everything when you are no longer useful to them,” reviewer Lockedheart writes.

Helen Ukpabio Tackles T.B. Joshua

Click for Full Image Size
A recent edition of a softsell magazine has just released a bombshell a prominent movie producer, Helen Ukpabio threw on the self-acclaimed man of God, T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nation.
The lady Evangelist and a film maker, Helen Ukpabio of Liberty Evangelical Ministry has blasted TB Joshua saying that his wealth was acquired from demons, and thus his prophesy shouldn’t be considered seriously.
If you recollect years back, Helen herself confessed to be influenced by some witchcraft power before she became an Evangelist.
With this kind of revelation, one cannot but believe the woman who had been in the other world before coming to the real light. What do you think?

7 Types Of Men Every Woman Should Date

There are some men who seem to attract the attention of every woman. Then there are other men who may go unnoticed more often than not.
That initial attraction is based on emotion, lust, or physical desire and is not rooted in anything of substance. Making decisions to date and commit to a person based on these factors can be a very costly mistake.
The purpose of dating is to get to know someone, not to Be Intimate or fulfill lustful desires. When you rush to the dating phase, you miss the opportunity to develop solid friendships and really get to know a person.
Being friends first allows you to start identifying core characteristics of the type of man who will date you for the purpose of marriage.
Here are 7 types of men that you should date:
1. The Unmarried Man -
This may seem obvious, but it is very necessary to mention. There are too many women attempting to have relationships with married men. Married men are not candidates for single women to date… period! This includes married men who are separated (legally or otherwise). They are still married and not available to date. Married people have their own families and concerns to deal with. That being said, the unmarried man, who is devoted to the things of God, is the type of man you should be interested in dating. (1 Corinthians 7:32-35). 7 types of men every woman should date.
2. The Kingdom Seeker -
A man who is seeking God’s will for His life will, not only seek out a woman to date, but will seek out his wife. The Bible says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). Lady, you should be an asset; the thing that is *added* to him as he is FIRST seeking the kingdom of God. This is why I say, run as fast as you can for Jesus and the one who can keep up might be the one.
3. The Real Man -
No, I am not talking about machismo behavior (all the shoulders back, chest out, fist curling gestures and such)… Real men don’t need all of that. That’s what grown-boys do to get a woman’s attention. Real men “pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace” (2 Timothy 2:22). Real men regard women as a gift that is not to be takenadvantage of; they see her as priceless and desire to cling to her (Matthew 19:5). A real man’s character shows his high regard for a woman long before the dating stage.
4. The Learner -
A man who is in continual pursuit of knowledge is better equipped to handle life and execute on goals / plans. He should read, seek counsel, study continuously, etc… The Bible says, “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed” (Proverbs 15:22). Also, “My people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). A man who is willing to learn and gain knowledge in life should also be more open to gaining knowledge about love and having successful relationships.
5. The Multiplier -
A man shouldn’t just balance you out, he should constantly add to you. His presence should multiply your potential. He should add to the beauty of who you are and never take away from anything that is precious about you. (“Relationship Coaching: Do you multiply or divide?”) The Bible says, “Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company ruins good morals.’” (1 Corinthians 15:33). The man you date should never cause you to compromise good morals. He should seek ways to support you in your values. His values should complement yours.
6. The Servant –
A man who has demonstrated a pattern of submitting to authorities in his life (leadership, pastors, parents, etc…) will also have an understanding of how to submit to God as the head of his life and, subsequently, how to commit to his future wife. The Bible says, “Obey your leaders and submit to them… Let them do this with joy and not with groaning,” (Hebrews 13:17). His positive attitude towards authority figures is an indication of his servant’s heart and also provides a picture of how he can be in a dating relationship.
7. The Consistent Man -
Emotions rise and fall, but character shows with consistency. The consistent man is not in a rush because he does not have poor intentions, nor is he interested in manipulating a woman to be led by her emotions (“Warning: Don’t Follow Your Heart”). He will take his time to get to know you and will allow you to get to know him as well. The Bible says, “Whoever walks in integrity will be delivered, but he who is crooked in his ways will suddenly fall.” (Proverbs 28:18). Over time, the consistent man’s good character will still stand, while the man with bad intentions will also come to light.
Remember, the purpose of dating is to get to know a person. If you take your time to get to know him, you will be able to find out if he is the type of man you should date.

Scientists discover why men and women will never see eye to eye

COUPLE FIGHTINGAccording to a new study by researchers at the City University of New York, there’s a physiological difference in the way the sexes see things. Men have an abundance of male hormone receptors and 25 percent more neurons in their visual cortex, meaning they find it easier to process rapidly changing images (swatting flies, catching glimpses of fast-moving cleavage).
Women, meanwhile, excelled at distinguishing between shades of color (spending hours dressing, choosing drapes). While the researchers weren’t able to suggest an evolutionary imperative for the difference, it does seem clear that men and women are fated to see things true is this ooooooo
