Woman Finds Ex-Boyfriend Living In Her Attic Over 12 Years After They Broke Up

Woman Finds Ex-Boyfriend Living In Her Attic Over 12 Years After They Broke UpMost everyone has heard of the mysteriously ghoulish “things that go bump in the night.” For one South Carolina woman, that “thing” was her ex-boyfriend, who she found living in her attic more than 12 years after they had broken up.
Tracy [last name withheld], a Rock Hill, S.C., resident and single mother of five, says she heard a thump from up above and saw nails start popping out from her bedroom ceiling Saturday, Yahoo! News reported.
Around 2:30 a.m. Tracy felt as if “something just ain’t right,” she told the Charlotte Observer. When she heard noises in the attic and saw nails popping out, she thought “there was some poltergeist stuff going on.”
It wasn’t the devil dancing on the ceiling. It was her ex-boyfriend, who had been living in her attic for about two weeks since he was released from prison, according to WCNC.
The two had broken up more than 12 years ago. She never considered getting back with him, despite him claiming in letters he sent from jail that he had changed. She thought he had gone to Charlotte after his latest arrest.
Her adult sons and her nephew found him asleep in the back of the attic. “They found a man. He had packed all the old coats and jackets into the heating unit and was sleeping in the heating unit,” Tracy told WCNC, saying that her ex-boyfriend ran downstairs and out of the house before police got there.
They found several “Route 44″ Sonic cups filled with feces and urine, according to Local 8. They also saw that the ex-boyfriend had rigged the ceiling vents so he could look down at Tracy in her bedroom from his spot in the attic.
The only access to the attic is through a door from inside the home, in the hallway that connects her children’s bedrooms, according to Local 8.
“It’s got me flabbergasted,” Tracy told the Charlotte Observer. “How can you look at someone through an air vent?”
The suspect is still at large. He is described as a black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds.

Robbers Attack Osufia In His House

Nollywood actor Nkem Owoh popularly called Osufia has become the latest victim of armed robbery attack in Enugu as robbers raided his home over the weekend carting away his Jeep and his other valuables.
According to the actor, one of his neighbours called him on Saturday to inform him that his house has been burgled.
The intruders stole his laptop, camcorder and his Mitsubishi Montero Jeep with plate# BU 64 FST during a raid on his house at Phase 6, Trans Ekulu in Enugu.
Here is what the actor said in regards to the burglary:
“I was in Abuja last week Saturday when my neighbours called that it was like my place was burgled, that my gate appeared to be open.
“I asked them to check and they reported back that out of the three vehicles parked in the compound, the Jeep was no longer there.
“I called my driver and asked him to make a report to the police immediately, which he did.”
Osufia claimed the robbers got rid of the burglary roof on his windows thereby stealing his laptop.
He has reported the case to the police for further investigation.

Kenyan celebs nude photos posted on Facebook

Facebook has done it again. This time round there is a page with over 15,000 followers that boasts of nude and semi-nude photos purportedly from East African region. The page dubbed East Africa’s Baddest and Rudest B*tches has posted photos of females half dressed or in revealing attire and nude photos as well.
It has also lifted photos of other Kenyan female celebrities – probably from google images – and posted on the page. They are Big Brother Housemate and actress Millicent Mugadi, rapper Stella Mwangi a.k.a STL and OgopaletMarya. Millicent told Word Is, “My cousin who lives in Australia called me to tell me that my photo has been posted on the page. My problem is that they have placed my photos next to nude ones, which makes it look like I took nude photos.
“I have reported the page to Facebook all week, asking them to pull it down. I have even asked my friends to do the same but, two weeks later, it is still online.” Millicent just jetted in this week from Ghana after attending an event organised by fellow Big Brother Amplified housemate Confidence Haugen. She was also in Nigeria fro a series of shows. Of her trip to Nigeria she said that her dealings are “pending” because “the country is preparing for elections and nothing much is happening till after.”

MI Abaga: 6 Things Vic O Is Doing Better Than Most Upcoming Artistes

He entered our lives without apology last year. Barged right through our speakers and computer screens.
A lot of people had a lot to say, but in the midst of the dust and flying fists, I had a revelation, viz: Vic o is either a a very clever genius… or maybe not. Maybe he isn’t. But you can’t deny he’s putting a lot of effort into what he does.
If you’re an upcoming rapper, or singer, or interested in any sort of job that involves entertaining people, here are a few tips you can pick up from the man.
1. Break The Mold: Stereotypes are made to be broken. Of course, it’s easy to go with the flow of what’s popular. But there is no quicker way to get passed over and ignored. Sometimes the quickest way to be significant is to be different, no matter how annoying that makes you. D’banj had us yarning de koko. Terry G threatened to knack us akpako. And thanks to Vic, WHY EVILS has become a catchphrase. (Very useful in times like these when one often feels like screaming at the general heavens). And in addition, we all know for sure the After Party is where it’s really happening.
2. Make Some Noise : Hey You… Rapper… You’re pretty good aren’t you? You’ll just keep working on your stuff and the world will come flocking to your doorstep right? Wrong . The world doesn’t care that you have 280 songs and 65 mix-tapes. Not until you go out and get the attention you deserve. Vic O has each song of his on Youtube, Reverbnation and Facebook. He tweets the individual links everyday like there is no tomorrow. Even has his own website. What are you waiting for?
3. Multi-Task: It would be great if you had that manager, that publicist, that 24/7 6-man team working round the clock on your behalf. But you, dear sir, are alone. The truth is, even after gettingsigned to a label a lot of the work will have to be done by you. There’s no time to sit back. Vic o, my good man, writes and produces his music. And directs and produces his videos. And handles his social networking. One man wrecking machine. The more you can do yourself, the better. Increase your skill set.
4. Ignore the hate: Aaah, get over it. People will hate you even if you write the theme song to the cure for aids. There’s two thingsyou can do: ignore them, or take a lot of time to respond to each and everyone. If there’s anything at all to learn from the man at all, it is his completely oblivious approach to the critics. (Although there’s nothing wrong with a showing a meanie like Speed Darlington who’s boss, once in a while.)
5. Love the Fans: Vic O loves his fans. The End.
6. Mystery : Often called the X Factor. The world is a whore for information, but too much of it, and they shall leave you quicker than you are able to zip up your pants. For example: His Bio on Twitter contains every thing except his current GPS location. A bit excessive one might say. But the questions raised by his person more than create enough mystery. We are left asking: Who is Vic O? Why does he do this? Is he a genius or raving lunatic? Has he got us all fooled? and what song, oh lord, what song, shall he foist upon us next?

Skeletons in their closet – ‘In the cupboard’ film review

IN_THE_CUPBOARD2
‘In the cupboard’ is the latest film from the prolific and high-profile team at the Royal Arts Academy whose stable has gifted us with ‘Bursting out’, ‘Kiss & tell’ and ‘Holding hope in recent times.’ It stars Ini Edo, Uti Nwachukwu (of Big Brother Africa fame) and Alex Ekubo and the producers must have counted on the chance that the glossy cast, along with the not-so-subtle title and sleek packaging would grab the attention of every virile person out there.
But like a double-edged sword, It is perhaps for these same reasons that some folks may find themselves reluctant to see this film. While at least two of the aforementioned headliners are superstars in their own right, each of their respective earlier outings at the cinemas this year has left a lot to be desired. Ini Edo’s ‘I’ll take my chances’ was more fizzle than sizzle and we are still trying to pretend ‘True citizens’ starring Uti Nwachukwu and Alex Ekubo never happened. Still, we’ll take our chances with this one.
The aristocratic and fabulously wealthy Desouza family comprising of mother (Biola Segun-Williams)and her five children has just lost it’s patriarch; only you’d never guess it. Not from the way the soignée widow is always perfectly coiffed and definitely not from her bratty offspring’s endless bickering.
We are introduced to the clan as they gather primarily for the reading of the will and secondarily to bury their late patriarch and it doesn’t take long to pick up on the following: mommy knows things she isn’t telling, much-married alcoholic Tricia (Edo) is a closeted lesbian and brothers Tega (Ekubo) and Nwachukwu’s character have unresolved issues bordering on full blown enmity. Add to this quirky mix the son suffering from foot-in-the-mouth disease, the daughter who has an unhealthy obsession with her camcorder and the stage is set to unpeel layer after layer of juicy scandalous detail.
Produced by former starlet Caroline Danjuma and directed by Desmond Elliot, both working from a script by Kehinde Olorunyomi, ‘In the cupboard’ sure has it’s bright spots. It starts out hurriedly and moves at a fun, zippy pace boosted by campy performances from it’s ensemble cast.
Uti Nwachukwu isn’t anyone’s favorite actor around but he discharges himself suitably as the heir to the Desouza family jewels. Quiet, dignified and filled with a slow-burning rage, he envelops smugly into the role. Problem is the screenplay has no room for subtlety and every time he is made to raise his voice unnecessarily(and this happens one too many times), it defeats his genuine attempts at credibility. Ini Edo pulls off her routine vapid act with no serious attempts at scratching the surface of her character, although in this case, the fault is as much hers as it is the director and the screenwriter’s. Ghanian, Lydia Forson is a big bore, so is the Sierra Leonean Morris Sesay and Susan Peters shows up too briefly to matter. This leaves room for the newbie, Tessy Abubakar who plays the baby of the house. Armed with her ever present camera and a resolute, child-like belief in people, her beguiling presence not only provides the genuine comic moments of the picture, but is also the apple core of a crowded room of outlandish performers.
Then there is the terrible. Ginnefine Kanu, the starlet who plays Nkiru, the hot tottie that comes between two of the brothers with a vengeance is so bad, she manages to turn her huge, pivotal scene into a terrible parody, begging the question, how in Nollywood was she cast?
Other random questions that come to mind as the film progresses include; would Biola Segun-Williams’ eyeballs pop out of their sockets if she dilates them any further? Why is her arm bandaged in one scene and in the next, she is not even sporting a scar? Does the director believe that shaking the camera violently will simulate on-screen action? What is the point of the sub-plot with the other two sisters? Why is Nwachukwu’s costuming so shoddy? In the last but one scene, did Ekubo’s character change his shirt while the others waited before going in to see mum? Why was there not one sex scene? Why is someone yelling ‘quiet’ at every other turn? Someone please remind us, how was the Nkiru character cast? Questions, questions, questions
Alas, these are questions Mr Elliot has no intentions of answering. He understands his audience and has perfected the art of making the get-lost-in-feel-good movie we all love to hate. Folks looking for award-baiting fare might have to wait for the next Kunle Afolayan film. But for those in search of escapist, undemanding, unchallenging viewing pleasure, by all means, do check this one out. Just be sure to leave grey matter at the concession stands.

Man drugs, rapes two teenage sisters in Kaduna

A middle-age man Garba Tanimu was yesterday arraigned before a chief magistrate’s court in Kafanchan town of Kaduna State for allegedly raping two sisters.
Prosecutor Sgt. C O Obi told the court that the accused had approached the elder one who turned down his proposal and so “he decided to call the younger one who equally rejected.”
“Tanimu had asked the 16 year-old girl to call her 18-year-old elder sister on phone and they now came. Tanimu then poured some substance like powder on the floor and when the two girls inhaled the substatnce, they lost consciousness and he pulled them and had carnal knowledge of them in his room,” the prosecutor said.
He said the elder sister girl quickly reported the matter to some military men at a checkpoint when she woke up and saw herself in Tanimu’s room located in the Kafanchan metropolis. Chief magistrate Sammy Daka adjourned the case for further mention.

“Employ us in the next 7 days or leave” – Ijaw youth tell Chevron

chevron
Egbema and Gbaramatu graduates in Warri North and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State on Wednesday threatened to sack Chevron Nigeria Limited from Ijaw land if they are not able to meet up with an ultimatum of seven days given to them to get them, (Ijaw youth) employed.
The two kingdoms had warned that Chevron’s activities in the state would be frustrated if they do not devise better ways of getting the unemployed youth from the area empowered in the next seven days, stating that the two kingdoms had been treated unfairly by Chevron.
In a petition signed by the chairman, Mr. Ojusin Innoncent , the former students under the backings of KOMBOT Employment Front  drew the attention of  the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNP to their problems, stating  that  Chevron had utterly sidelined Ijaw graduates from Egbema and Gbaramatu kingdoms , and have pushed them aside in terms of employment opportunity.
They affirmed that while their brothers from the South-West and Southeast are constantly recruited after every interview, they have been left to suffer even after they had gone for different interviews as organized by Chevron
They had asked Chevron to recruit the 39 Egbema-Gbaramatu applicants, who, they claimed, did very well in the Ogere training programme and interview.
KOMBOT had also advocated for the return of Ijaw indigenes who were relieved of their jobs by Chevron in February 2011. It further affirmed that it will carry out its threat if the company takes the warnings for granted.

Courtesy of Konvict Music, we have a hot new collabo from Wizkid and Kardinal Offishall. The song which was produced by Burd and Keys, sees the EME artiste strut his stuff nicely on the hook. While Kardinal, brings his game on, like only he can.
The collabo represents a big step up to the international scene for Wizzy.  And we all await some more of the foreign duets he has already recorded.
