Glam & Essence Style Awards and Runway Show 2013 will hold on November 17,2013 at  Sheba event ikeja Lagos. The event, which was established to celebrate outstanding individuals within and outside of the fashion / beauty sector, had it’s maiden edition in 2012, with special awards won by Mrs Folorunso Alakija as Style Icon of the year, Chief (mrs) Shade Okoya as Style Personality of the year, while Mrs Folake Majin emerge LifeTime Achiever for Fashion. But this year’s edition comes with a twist, as the event is slated to celebrate style divas & blokes within the Showbiz circle. Alongside the categories outlined to honour designers, some of the categories up for considerations in the showbiz sector are: Most Stylish Comedian, Most Stylish Movie Star (male & female) Most Stylish Music Star (male & female) Best Styling in a Music Video, Best Styling in a Movie, Best dressed new Showbiz Personality (male & female) Showbiz Stylist of the Year. Special recognition awards would also to be given out at the event to men and women who have made impact on the style scene. Numbering amongst them is Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Architect. Fifi Ejindu, Mrs Mo Abudu, Mrs Betty Irabor, Mr Kunle Bakare, and First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Abimbola Fashola. An event that exudes gal our and style is being put together by Glam & Essence Magazine. According to the publisher of the magazine Susan Eyo Honesty ,It promises to be an evening of fun, fashion and music, with top fabric company, Daviva on board, as well as First Bank leaning their weight to the event.The Awards Categories (2013)

Tobacco Control Nigeria is a policy change and public health campaign project using Social Media to advance tobacco control and support the passage of a comprehensive Tobacco Control (TC) law compliant with the World Health Organization’s Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC).

TobaccoCtrl kicked off its social media campaign officially in August with the launch of their website and Tobacco Dodge Game app. The group also held crowd spellbound with its message on the streets of Ajegunle in Lagos with the use of Dance and Music performance from Dathreat dance group and Vocal Slender. The launch activities continued with quiz, competitions and giveaways on twitter and Facebook.
