Voxafrica acquires new content from Nigerian top entertainment online platform – Pulse.Ng

Inline image 1Voxafrica TV has today announced its partnership with Ringier Nigeria’s Pulse.NG, leading to the acquisition of new and exciting, Nigerian entertainment based content, set to air exclusively on Voxafrica TV in the UK from June 2016.


Pulse.Ng is Nigeria’s 24/7 online news platform. Pulse’s online TV has set the standard for popular news content in Nigeria, offering a wide variety of programming.

This is the first time these shows have been aired on free-to-air TV in the UK.

The new content includes the following shows; 

Songstress Waje and her daughter Emerald are the cover stars of Vanguard Allure’s Children’s Day edition.

She talks about motherhood and her daughter talks about been the daughter of a celebrity..

RED Co-Founder, Adebola Williams announced as Globacom brand ambassador]

Media personality and co-founder of Red Media Africa, Adebola Williams, has joined the list of brand ambassadors of the national
telecommunications operator, Globacom. He is the first non-entertainment ambassador for a major Nigerian telecoms company.

A statement released in Lagos by Globacom on Thursday said Williams is among the new set of ambassadors signed on recently by the firm.

British Council hosts Creative Industries Conference and Expo in Abuja

The Nigerian creative industry held the 5th edition of the British Council led Creative Industries Conference and Expo at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The two day event which is part of the UK/Nigeria 2015 – 16 season activities was designed as a platform for Nigerian and UK public and private sector stakeholders to discuss and explore areas of potential policy and practice level collaborations and exchange. This year’s edition also featured a trade exhibition where businesses and organisations in the creative industry showcased their products and services.

Police offer N5m reward for information on kidnapped ex-Minister

The victim was on her way from her farm in Sawonjo in Yewa South local government area of the state when she was whisked away by armed men alongside her security aide.

According to Premium Times, the abductors had demanded N200 million ransom.
However, in a statement issued on Monday, May 2, by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, the Command made the cash reward offer to accelerate Mrs. Anisulowo’s rescue.
“The Ogun State Police Command has offered N5m (Five million naira only) reward to any informant(s) who has useful information for the police on the kidnapping of the former senator and minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo, who was kidnapped recently at Sawonjo/Iganokoto area of Ogun State,” the Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, made the declaration after a security meeting with officers of the command, and other security chiefs in the state.
Those at the meeting included the Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Alamala, Abeokuta, S. Danwalis, and the Director of Department of State Security Ogun State, Kabir Sanni.
“The Commissioner of Police Ogun State therefore appeals to the general public to support the police and give useful information that can assist in the rescue operation of the kidnapped victim,” the statement said.
The command also gave out dedicated phone numbers for the public to reach the police, with the assurance that informants would enjoy adequate security as their information would be made confidential.

Anisulowo, who served as Minister in the military regime of Sani Abacha, has been held by her captors for six days.
