Beyonce’s Pregnancy Timeline: Relive All the Twists & Turns

In the past five or so months, few celebrity stories have captivated the 

world’s attention quite like Beyonce’s pregnancy.

What started out as a happy announcement at the MTV Video Music

 Awards in August quickly devolved into a flurry of Internet rumors, 

with some alleging that the whole thing was fake.

So what’s the real story? We’ll probably never know.

 But with the news that the R&B superstar welcomed a 

baby girl on Saturday, we’re recapping every reported detail

 about her pregnancy, from start to finish. Check it out below.

Aug. 28, 2011: After a bit of speculation, 

Beyonce confirms to the world that she is

 pregnant with her first child, and in doing so, sets a new record on Twitter.

Sept. 4, 2011: Beyonce turns 30.

Sept. 7, 2011: Photos of Beyonce’s baby bump

 surface while she and husband Jay-Z vacation in Croatia.

Oct. 10, 2011: During a taped interview segment with

 the R&B singer, Australian news program

 Sunday Nightreports that Beyonce’s due date is in February.

Oct. 11, 2011: Scandal erupts when footage 

of  Beyonce sitting down for her interview with

 Sunday Night hits the Internet, leading some to

 believe that she has been wearing a fake baby bump.

 A rep for Beyonce later referred to the rumors as “stupid,

 ridiculous and false.”Nov. 4, 2011: Beyonce’s former

 Destiny’s Child groupmate, Kelly Rowland, 

accidentally reveals that Beyonce is having a baby girl. Oops.

Nov. 29, 2011: Following a number of sightings in New York

, Beyonce releases a behind the scenes clip 

from the making of the video for “Countdown” 

(dated Sept. 23), in which she shows off her baby bump at six months.

Dec. 2, 2011: Beyonce sits down with Katie Couric

 to discuss her pregnancy, including what her cravings are.

Dec. 30, 2011: More rumors hit the Internet – this time,

 alleging that Beyonce gave birth to a baby girl named

 Tiana-May Carter in New York city Jan. 5, 2012: All rumors

come to a slightly confusing halt when 

Beyonce is spotted leaving an office building in New York.

Jan. 7, 2012: The couple reportedly welcomes a baby girl named Blue Ivy Carter.

Jan. 8, 2012: Conspiracy theories run wild on the Internet,

 all of which are focused on the meaning behind Blue Ivy. 

Does it have to do with the Illuminati? Lucifer’s daughter?

 A wedding planner in Boston? Again, we’ll probably never know.

Jan. 9, 2012: New daddy Jay-Z releases

 an emotional song called “Glory” in the wake of Blue Ivy’s birth.
