“Vote vigorously to keep Sierra Leone in Big Brother Africa” SAYS-Adonis Aboud

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Transnational International, Adonis Aboud (Dr.), has in a press conference called on Sierra Leoneans to “vote vigorously” for Zainab Sheriff and Daphne Alexandra who are currently representing Sierra Leone in Big Brother Africa (BBA), a popular live TV show, currently being beamed from South Africa on DSTV.
According to Mr. Aboud, this is the first time Sierra Leone is being represented in this show that is expected to last for ninety-one days. At the end of each week during this period, names of countries represented would be upped for eviction as a way of eliminating contestants. This elimination exercise started last Sunday and Sierra Leone and Liberia would be up next Sunday.
He disclosed that Liberians are “voting massively” online and via SMS messages to keep their House Maids in the house.
He appealed to all Sierra Leoneans “to copy the Liberian commitment by voting vigorously during the course of this week in order to keep Zainab and Daphne in the game,” Mr. Aboud stated. He however noted that should the Sierra Leone representatives be evicted come Sunday, they would be proud being that they have made their marks by representing the country in this year’s edition of the Big Brother Africa game. He said Sierra Leone has a place for representation in next year’s edition.
Mr. Aboud dispelled rumours making the round that Zainab and Daphne were never in Freetown and that they were chosen via mobile phones. He explained that DSTV had no hands in the choice of the duo, Zainab and Daphne.
According to him, they were selected after an audition supervised by a team from South Africa at the Country
Lodge and following which Zainab in particular was on SLBC TV explaining the process which culminated their
selection.
He insisted that the ladies are native Sierra Leoneans. “I want everyone to know that Zainab and Daphne are
Sierra Leoneans who hold Sierra Leonean passports as that is one of the main criteria for selection,” he said, adding that people should scarifies 40 units per SMS to any of the three mobile networks operating in the country (Airtel, Comium and Africell) to vote by texting the names of Zainab and Daphne to 2626. Only one vote per person is allowed from a particular mobile number.
Edward Marah press attaché at Transnational disclosed that the game is not just about beauty, but includes
creativity of the individual. “When you are in the house, you are completely cut off from the outside world as there is no clock or watch for you to know whether its day time or night time,” Mr. Marah disclosed.
He stated that the element of suspense and surprise are always at play in the house, further disclosing that the house has a total of 150 cameras in an out with 200 workers working eight hours daily.
