Founder of Nigeria Next Supermodel search,Mrs Joan Okorodudu on Friday conducted a screening exercise for Nigerian models interested in taking part in the 2012 edition. Held at the Best Western Hotel,owned by city businessman and financier of PDP in Ogun State, Chief Buruji Kashamu,hundreds of interested participants stormed the venue near Bar Beach,Victoria Island.
Okorodudu told newsmen that this year’s edition is going to be bigger with more prizes and opportunities to those who eventually make it to the finals. She told Gistmaster that at least two models will go home with cars at the finals of the NNSM in Lagos.
Nigeria Next supermodel was created in 2007. Imade Ogbewi, the winner of the 2011 edition was a runway shine at the Arise magazine fashion week in Lagos,South African Fashion Week and London Fashion Week.Thisday Newspapers publishers of Arise Magazine also engaged her to be part of their upcoming fashion show in New York.
