Abuja NYSC Camp comes alive as corpers mark social/cultural day [PHOTOS]

The Abuja Orientation Camp of the National youth Service Corps, NYSC came alive yesterday when it marked its social/ cultural day as part of its preparation towards the exit of corps members from the camp.
The event, which held at the camp social and cultural centre, saw all youth corps members converging in large number to showcase their creativity.
Different creative corps members exhibited their talents in Music, dance, comedy and a host of other talents.
However, the highlights of the event were the Miss Camp Beauty contest, Mr Macho contest and Miss hot legs contest.
The corps members went wild when the men came out on their female attires, disguised as women. It was hard to for an ordinary audience to know whether those were the same Mr. Macho contestants. Upon realization, the crowd went wild.
It was also a tough contest for the women as about 10 contestants  took part in the contest
Charlyboy, AKA Areafada was at the event to support the corps members. Upon sighting him, the ‘Otondos’ as they are fondly called went wild. In his address, Charlyboy had told the youth corps members to go after their dreams with tenacity and consistency, using his life history as an analogy. It became an interactive session as the corps members took their time to confront the Areafada with different controversial questions. In his usual philanthropic way, the Charlyboy foundation parted with N200,000 in support of the event.
The camp Social Director Madam Joy said the event was part of the activities marking the official closure of the camp. According to Joy, the event was one of the best ways creative youth corps members can be encouraged. Joy said “ As you can see, we have got great talents here. I’m sure you have not stopped laughing since you came into this arena. Our MC, Amebo is a Comedian that can beat any Comedian anywhere in the world. That goes to tell you that Nigerian youth are creative, and must be encouraged. This is NYSC’s own way of encouraging them. We try to place emphasis on the need for our youth to rely on their creativity in the absence of government job. Thank God, few people have come out today to support us. I thank Charlyboy and his Foundation for their wonderful support and all those who came out to grace this wonderful occasion. I assure you, next camp will be better” She said.
