Local Government chairman donates exercise books to 13,000 pupils

The Chairman of the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, Lagos State, Mr. Bolaji Muse-Ariyoh, on Tuesday put smiles on the faces of over 13,000 pupils in the area, by donating exercise books worth millions of Naira to the pupils.
Each pupil in the 31 primary schools in the area got six exercise books, while nine schools, selected from the wards in the area will have their pupils kitted with uniforms and school bags.
While commissioning two buildings at Aregbe Primary School and Afariogun Primary School, the Chairman said the kind gesture was used to demonstrate the council’s effort to ameliorate the sufferings of the parents and the pupils.
He promised to make schools in the LG more conducive.
Muse-Ariyoh said, “There is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, than creating an effective teaching and learning environment. It is in realisation of this fact that we have embarked on construction of four blocks of classrooms at Aregbe and Afariogun primary schools.
While commending the effort of the local government Chairman, an official of Lagos State Universal Basic Education, Mr. A.K. Abatan, urged other local government Chairmen to emulate the gesture of Muse-Ariyoh, saying it would go a long way in developing education in Lagos state.
