On Thursday, May 16, 2013, 20 celebrities will be inducted as Celebrity Red Cross Volunteers at the Lagos Sheraton Hotels and Towers. This event is in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the organisation’s existence.

The ambassadors were selected in recognition of their worthy contributions to the community.Their duties will include: immediate response to disaster (e.g. flood) locations and assisting victims by giving first aid treatment and donations,assisting in rendering community based health programs, visit to motherless and abandoned babies homes and youth development training among others.
