The Cannes Film Festival, which officially starts today, is right up there with the Met Gala andawards season when it comes to the red carpet.
For those of us who aren’t there and don’t actually get to see the films, the festival is essentially an 11-day fashion show on the French riviera, with a constant influx of red carpet pics.
Aside from its sheer length, one thing that differentiates Cannes from other red carpet events is the fact that it’s international, meaning the American style stars we all know and see on the covers of magazines every day will be mingling on the red carpet with equally well-heeled actresses we may not recognize.
For every Diane Kruger or Carey Mulligan, there’s a Fan Bingbing or an Aishwarya Rai. So, we’ve compiled a little guide to 10 sure-to-be Cannes it-girls from overseas that you’ll probably be seeing a lot of.
