ARTICLE: LOVE LETTER TO VECTOR BY WALE APPLAUSE

I know I risk a 14 year jail term with this title, but being in a different
time zone for the weekend, therefore I decided to do this from my very
short stay here.
Before I continue, I must say this to you, Vector a.k.a Lanre, 104 years
ago, I wasn’t just indifferent about you, I did not like you, and I guess
you care less.
I write you this letter to tell you about my experience with your album,
THE SECOND COMING. I always had this album of yours from weeks after
release, but sadly I never ever listened to it cos I did not believe in it
or like you either.
But days ago…
There was a fierce argument in my friends Caravan about your song, self and
career with a lot of ado, I forcefully decided to listen to your album.
The core objective of it was to have nails to crucify you and I needed you
to carry your cross to Golgotha, I know you’ll understand that, you a smart
gee.
I also needed to check out the love my friends and colleague have for you
if it was sincere or just the band wagon effect. Here is my big mistake,
guess what? I eventually listened.
To get irritated by your album, I decided to listen from the rear, having
though that you’ll place a couple wacky tracks at the posterior, unknown to
me, I shot myself in the leg.
The first track I listened to on your album was the OUTRO, WA SERE. I read
another version of your bible. It gave another dimension to you. I listened
all through the track and I thought I should move on, it could be a fluke.
RORA with shank was a sold out. TatatataTYrone killed it with the drums.
This song hit me so hard. I felt your dynamism. The 38 seconds SKIT on
track 20 is actually better than a popular artiste’s  album with a lot of
babanas. I found myself listening to the beautiful accapella a couple times
before I moved on to Angeli which I quickly used the remote on cos it was
an anthem at a time and even though you are  my new found music love, I
will always despise the video.
AMEN with Jazzy got to me and I decided to listen to the album from1972.
Vector, I gotta hand this to you, album is a deep work of art, THE SECOND
COMING tags you as INTELLIGENT. You got the right people to handle the
Hooke like Robert. THINK IT!
I give it to you that you are a big project in progress. Beats by producers
TatataTYrone, Mr Smith, Da piano and a couple others coupled with hooks and
verses by Sound Sultan, Rock Steady. Emmasong, Jazzy, Muno makes the album
a balanced diet.
The cypher with Mode 9 is incredible. Although your album did not hit
commercial success similar to The Year of RnB album by Capital Femi and the
Karpenter’s Son album project, it’s an incredible work of art and I will be
proud to tell my grandchildren that I lived in the days of Mode9, Vector,
Messi and Ronaldo.

Every track on that album has a distinct message and ur word play, word
usage and word power is top notch. It takes a deep mind to comprehend you.
THE SECOND COMING is indeed epic and is sure to live after you.
Your album forced me into the market to get my long overdue Beats by Dre
Headphones because I wanted to have all details of each song in my head.
Novelists and writers should listen to your album for inspiration and
quotes. My advice to you dude is don’t look back, remember the wife of Lot.
You are a BORN LEADER, HUSTLE on, forget the ENVY , SHAYE lo SE WON FE KU
ni, cos I will say to you that YOU BAD and not ALONE, but RORA and the
ANGELi will always be with you. I know you LIKE GIRLS, but I go dey FOLLOW
YOU DEY GO, FEAR NO EVIL, say AMEN to this, WA SERE my man.
Although not a Man Utd fan, you play Cleverly. Please do not change your
style for anything or the demand for commercial music, get into the Car,
don’t bother about the cab. Leave you mark in the sand of time.
In the past 72 hours, your entire album has moved to the 25 most played
song on my IPhone. Now your songs have set a standard for the songs I
currently listen to.
My dear friend Olanrewanju, I want you to know that just like O.A.U you gon
be here for a while and for another long time, live on a lot of past glory
in the future.
