Her popularity has put her in the Top 5 of the most searched celebrities on the continent in last year’s Google Zeitgeist.

Genny, as she is affectionately known, was ranked number 19 in the Forbes 40 Most Powerful Celebrities in Africa in 2011, she was part of a list of celebrities rated as the world’s most beautiful women by Marie Claire Magazine that included Halle Berry, Jennifer Lopez, and Jennifer Aniston.
She was also the first Nigerian actress to appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show in an episode dubbed "Meet the Most Famous People in the World".
