Currently the most-sought after Video Director at the moment in Nigeria, 2013 is no doubt the year of Matthew Abiodun Aina popularly known as Mattmax in the music circles as he bags seven nominations at the forth-comingNMVA (Nigerian Music Video Awards) list which was officially released to the public a couple of days ago.
Mattmax is obviously one of the busiest video directors in recent times as both established and up and coming artistes throng his office in search of unprecedented creative and high quality videos.
Mattmax whose trademark are his in-depth creativity and picture quality first caught the eyes of the industry watchers with his first major music video of the hit song by Slim Joe, “Oti Yan Yan”.
Mattmax has the following nominations to show for a very successful year:

2. Best Afro-pop Video - Don’t’ Tell Me Nonsense (D’banj)
3. Best use of choreography- Ekolonma Demba (Timaya) / Don’t Tell Me Nonsense (D’banj)

5. Best Director
6. Most promising Director
7. Best Editor
He presently has a lot of videos enjoying massive rotations on TV stations to his credits amongst which are Dbanj’s “Don’t Tell Me Nonsense”, Donna Diva “Gaga”, Danny Young “Omo Lepa”, Olamide’s “Voice of the Street” / “Stupid Love”, KaySwitch’s “ For Example”, Timaya “Ekolomba”, Habida “Light Up”, Brain “Watcha U Looking At” and “Lubadi” , Lace “Gba Be”, J Martins “Touching Body”, and hosts of other videos from established and new acts.
His latest job which is the video for this year’s Hennessy Artistry theme song “Raise Your Glasses” by D’banj will be dropping in few days time.
