FASHIONS FINEST AFRICA RENAISSANCE: MEET THE PANELISTS

 

   Fashions Finest Africa debuts in Nigeria with a Quarterly event tagged “Renaissance” the first edition is set to hold on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at The Guest House Ikoyi, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Fashions Finest Africa is a platform that is aimed at discovering untapped talents in the fashion industry. The idea behind Fashions Finest Africa is to discover the talents, expose and groom them into professionals in their respective fields. The talents to be discovered are not limited to Fashion Designers or Tailors alone but to Models, Photographers, Stylists, Makeup artists etc.

In a vein to nurture the young creative so there would be a panel session educating them in different areas of the fashion business.  The topic of discussion at the first edition of Renaissance is “Creativity in the Business of Fashion” three brilliant and successful individuals have been selected by the FFA team to talk about this topic extensively; this panel session would only take about 40mins in between the fashion show.

GODSON UKAEGBU  (CREATIVE DIRECTOR/FASHION EDITION)
Godson ukaegbu is currently the Editor-in-chief of Style Mania Magazine, where he documents popular culture with integrity and creativity. He is a brilliant fashion commentator and stylist. He is also a creative director and writer.

MARY-JANE MINIKA OHOBU   (GENERAL MANAGER ZARON COSMETICS)
Mary-Jane Minika Ohobu is currently the General Manager for Zaron Cosmetics, one of Nigeria’s fastest growing cosmetics brand, her role includes managing the everyday affair for the brand such as Public Relations, Marketing, Business development, artistry, operation, human resources and more. She is a graduate of Environmental protection and Resource Management from the University of Calabar. She has been a career woman for over 8years and her role in Zaron cosmetics has given her a lot of experience and opportunity to work with a large number of celebrities both internationally and locally, Hence why she would be able to give her input on the topic “creativity in the business of Fashion”.

TENI OLUWO  (STYLE TERRITORY)
Teni Oluwo is a Creative fashion Stylist, Style Enthusiast and a Brand Strategist. She has worked as a Fashion Editor for Monalisa Magazine. She has also worked as the Producer and Fashion Stylist for "Trending” on Hip T.V, worked as the Style instructor at “Nigeria's Next Top Designer" in 2016, she volunteered as a fashion stylist at the 2014 and 2017 London fashion Week, then she interviewed the Guinness World Record holder for the World's most expensive hair Cut and  worked as a volunteer fashion for Style vs. Success initiative held in McKinney Texas.

Teni presently runs her Styling Company called "Style Territory” through which she has styled celebrities like Ycee , Monalisa Chinda, Adaeze Yobo, Wofai, ADA Ehi, and many more. She believes that fashion is incomplete without an infusion of art and this is evident in her styling techniques. She also believes in Global Excellence and plans to achieve that, by constantly creating ideas that cannot be boxed to a corner.
