WATCH : GPS shoes get you home by literally clicking your heels

Dorothy may have had a little magic in her ruby slippers, but all you need to get home is a good old GPS. And with the new “No Place Like Home GPS Shoes,” designed by British designer Dominic Wilcox as part of the Global Footprint Project in Northamptonshire, England, all it takes is a literal click of the heels.
Users simply upload their home address into the shoes’ mapping software, and next time they find themselves lost (or perhaps drunk), they click their feet together. The motion activates a GPS receiver in the shoes’ left heel and red LED lights flash in the toes, offering a progress bar as they point toward their own version of Kansas, wherever that may be.
