Nigerian show stopper DJ Jimmy Jatt has been billed for a super music showdown at the National Theatre at the maiden edition of Ghana DJ Awards on Friday, October 26.
Jimmy will be the main DJ for the awards ceremony.
Born and bred in Lagos Island, Jimmy Amu, popularly known as DJ Jimmy Jatt, is a renowned disc jockey who is known for setting the pace for Hip hop music in Nigeria and beyond.
Formerly known as Master J, DJ Jimmy Jatt came into the music industry as a rapper with lots of music demos but after a fruitless search of getting a record label to support him, he started deejaying with the support of his brothers.
Today, he is Nigeria’s highest paid DJ and plays at the biggest events in the biggest West African country.
The event will witness performances from DJ Hubert, DJ Mike Smith, DJ Young Joe, Kofi Dixon, DJ Mensa alongside artistes including VIP, Okyeame Kwame, Asem, Kaakie, Tic Tac, Diamond Appiah, D3 (latest female group), RNM, winners of the maiden edition of the Vodafone Icons and Herty Borngreat.
The event is aimed at promoting, honouring and rewarding the best achieving Ghanaian radio, night club and “recognized” mobile Disk Jockeys (DJ).
Produced by Merqury Republic Events, the event, the first of its kind in Africa, is expected to bring more excitement and added value to the DJ profession in Ghana.
