Kogi flood victims receive N200million from Dangote

The President of Dangote Group of companies, Alhaji Aliko Dangote accompanied by his daughter,Hajia Halima donated N150million cash and food items worth over N50million to the victims of flood in Kogi State yesterday.
The richest man in Africa who said he was so devastated at the havoc done by the flood and described it as unprecedented advised the victims to see the situation as an act of God.
Dangote,who was received by the state Governor,Alhaji Idris Wada said he had set aside another N230million to be given to at least 1000 women in all the 21 local councils of the state to empower them start petty business in this time of need.
The Governor later took Alhaji Dangote to some flooded parts of the state and also to the temporary camp at St. Luke Primary school,Adankolo to visit some of the victims affected by the flood.
Alhaji Idris Wada was so grateful for the donation describing it as the largest the state has received on behalf of the victims and also pleaded with other corporate organisations to lend a helping hand.
Dangote commended the quick intervention of the Federal Government through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for the donation of drugs,food items,clothing materials and all other items received by the victims of flood.
