The Initiative for Equal Rights (TIERs) in partnership with Y!/YNaija.com will hold a discussion conference themed: Human Rights, Sexuality and the Law on December 14, 2016 at Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The conference which is organized to mark the 2016 International Human Rights Week will examine the local and international dimension of human rights and citizenship.

Speakers at the event will share perspectives on how citizens can be better positioned to engage the global perception on human rights and sexuality.

“Human rights is hardly understood, and often ignored in these parts of the world,” said Isime Esene, Managing Editor of YNaija.com. “We expect that this event will bring into perspective contending elements of human rights as it relates to the law, and afford participants an opportunity to discuss on how to ensure that our rights as citizens are not only protected, but also respected” he added.

The conference will feature panellists and speakers who will engage on diverse issues on human rights in Nigeria.
