Police arrest bankers, others over robbery in Lagos

FOUR suspects, including two bankers, have been arrested over a robbery attack on a branch of a new generation bank in Trinity area of Olodi Apapa, Lagos.
Two of the suspects were said to have been caught inside the bank while trying to break into the vault, while the other two are the bank’s security staff arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting the criminals.
The robbers, numbering about 15, had invaded the bank at about 11.00 a.m. They were however rounded-up by a combined team of policemen from Trinity Police Division and Area B Police Command, Apapa. About 13 of the suspects fled while luck ran out on the other two who were arrested.
A police source told The Guardian that the robbers parked their vehicle in front of the Trinity police station while they walked to the bank to operate.
