She entered the US Capitol to applause and then hugs Cleopatra Cowley-Pendleton and Nathaniel A. Pendleton Sr. of Chicago, Illinois. The Pendleton’s daughter, Hadiya Pendleton, was murdered on January 29, 2013, when she was shot and killed in Harsh Park on Chicago’s South Side.
Dress: Because I am Fabulous can tell you first, Mrs Obama wore Jason WU pre-fall 2013 oxblood red a-line dress.
Remember she wore Jason Wu at the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Ball in late January and countless other times including the 2008 Inaugural ball.
It’s safe to say he’s her favorite fashion designer!
I’m not surprised the dress she wore tonight was modified for her. It is normal for designers like WU, Naeem Khan, Thakoon, Prabal Gurung, Narciso Rodriguez and Zac Posen who regularly dress the first lady to provide custom samples.
What I want to know is, was this one of the many dresses sent to the first lady’s office during the busy inauguration festivities weeks ago?
She looked radiant still sporting her buzzed about bangs and a bronze brooch by Alexis Bittar, which was perfectly placed on the top quarter of her dress.
